We are looking to recruit a manufacturing systems specialist required to provide a combination of highly technical expertise and logistical coordination in order to ensure that the manufacturing systems environment is continuously supported, maintained, and sustained. The specialist is also required to identify and pursue opportunities for system optimisation.


Your Purpose

•Provides advanced process control and IT expertise in order to ensure that process control systems are effectively integrated and continually upgraded in line with current technology to reflect process and equipment improvements.

•Responsible for ensuring all systems involved in the 'make-ship-sell' process are robust, efficient and operate with minimum downtime. Controls and manages application software; maintains application configuration documentation, standards

•Monitors hardware and software functionality, performs improvements as required thus ensuring hardware and software systems integrity (disaster recovery, data-backup/system redundancy, anti-corruption software and systems installed and up-to-date and operating effectively).

• Drives World Class Manufacturing principles via effective capture and data mining techniques to deliver performance data to assist in root cause analysis when process control issues arise.

•Responsible for managing a team of multiskilled engineers, developing skills, training and supporting through the HR 'One Way' process. This includes performance management, personal development and driving team results and objectives through WCSC methodology.


About You

•Deep knowledge of Control and automation products and their application within a brewing environment.

•Development of the following components: PLC Hardware & Software (FactoryTalk RSLogix5000, RSLogix5, RSlLogix500, PLC5250, Asset Centre, RSNetworks)

HMI/SCADA Hardware & Software (Proficy iFix, VBA, RSView, FactoryTalk)

MES Systems & Architecture (Proficy Plant Apps, Workflow)

Advanced SQL Server knowledge (Database Administration/Maintenance (DBA), T-SQL, stored procedures,


Reporting Tools (SSRS,Business Objects, .Net)

Manufacturing Network Architectures (Ethernet IP, Modbus, Control NET, Profibus, Device NET, DH+, RIO RS232)

Instrumentation (HART, E&H Suite, VSD, 4-20mA)

•Manage, develop and co-ordinate systems team resource in accordance with business needs
