Your Purpose: 

Reporting to the Category Management Controller, the Senior Category Manager is responsible for leading category thinking across key Off Trade customers and championing category excellence throughout the business.  

You will translate shopper, consumer and market insights into actionable category strategies that drive mutual growth for both Molson Coors and our retail partners. Acting as a trusted advisor externally and a category leader internally, you'll influence commercial plans, shape long-term category visions, enhance customer relationships, and develop category capability across the wider organisation.  

This role combines strategic leadership, customer engagement and people development, making it ideal for someone who thrives on creating meaningful business impact through insight-led decision making. 

 

Key Responsibilities   

  • Category Strategy & Planning - Drive category growth by translating shopper, consumer and market insights into strategic plans, portfolio opportunities, and performance-improving category initiatives. 

  • Customer Leadership & Relationship Management - Build trusted customer partnerships and drive category growth through insight-led recommendations, compelling category stories, and shopper-focused initiatives. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate cross-functionally to embed category expertise into business planning, innovation, and growth strategies, using insights and performance learnings to drive commercial success. 

  • Category Capability & Team Leadership - Lead and develop category capability by coaching teams, embedding best practices, and fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making. 

 

 

About you

  • Significant experience in Category Management within FMCG.  

  • Strong understanding of the UK grocery and retail environment.  

  • Proven track record of influencing category strategy and delivering commercial growth.  

  • Experience presenting and influencing senior customer stakeholders.  

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations.  

  • Experience using category and shopper insight sources such as Circana, Kantar, Dunnhumby and retailer loyalty data.  

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with executional excellence.

Pay and Benefits:


At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.


Our Total Rewards package includes a base salary of £54,300.00 - £71,300.00 (posting salary range) plus a 9.25% target annual bonus, alongside a comprehensive benefits offering designed to support different needs and life stages. Benefits are flexible and include health, dental and vision coverage, a pension with up to 10% employer match, wellbeing support, an Employee Assistance Programme, life leave, and 31 days’ annual leave plus 3 bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell additional holiday.

The salary range shown above reflects what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. Final pay is based on a number of non‑discriminatory factors, such as required work location, previous experience, skills and internal equity.
