Your Purpose

Reporting to the Property & Facilities Service Building Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering a seamless, professional experience across our HQ and wider property network. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where you’ll act as a brand ambassador while providing essential operational, facilities, and administrative support.

This role is based on-site 5 days per week

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service, Front‑of‑House & Postal Operations - Deliver professional customer service across core hours (8am–5pm), through activities such as visitor management, reception duties, postal operations, and maintaining outstanding first impressions as a brand ambassador. Working with Marketing and Sales to support brand promotions.
  • Facilities, Safety Compliance & Responsible Person Duties  - Work collaboratively with the FM team to ensure compliance with MCBC UK QEH&S policies and procedures, for example first aid readiness, evacuation procedures, manual handling practices, regular site walks and audits to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
  • Security & Access Control - Implement onsite security protocols through activities such as issuing, managing, and monitoring visitor access cards, ensuring appropriate access control and safeguarding of employees, contractors, visitors, suppliers, and the public. 
  • Facilities Help Desk, Office Management & Process Administration - Operate the National Facilities Help Desk and HQ/Thirst Bar facilities, triaging and prioritising calls/emails, assigning work to relevant teams, and maintaining feedback systems. Deliver office management duties for example resetting spaces, occupancy analysis, process management, and ordering for staff shop requirements. 
  • Events/Building & Finance Coordination - Coordinate events, building operations and financial processes, ensuring safe and inclusive events, efficient space and contractor management, building compliance, user support, and accurate purchase order and budget administration. 

 

 

About You

  • Experience in a customer-facing or front-of-house role, alongside administrative responsibilities such as handling enquiries, logging tasks, and managing shared inboxes.
  • Exposure to facilities, office management, or building operations, including coordinating contractors or suppliers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in relation to compliance, safety checks, and documentation.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and general administrative systems.
  • Professional approach to managing reception, visitors, and access control processes.
  • Proactive problem-solver, with good judgement and initiative.
