Your Purpose

We are looking for a Communications & Corporate Affairs Assistant to join our team based in Burton upon Trent, working on a hybrid basis. This is a part-time role (3 days per week) on a 12‑month fixed-term contract

They will support the Corporate Communications Manager in delivering effective, engaging internal communications across the business, while also contributing to broader external communications and corporate affairs activity.

What You’ll Be Getting Stuck Into

  • Be a key partner to the Corporate Communications Manager and HR, helping bring people strategies to life through creative, engaging internal and external communications
  • Tell great stories! You’ll create eye‑catching written and visual content that connects with employees across a variety of channels
  • Own our day‑to‑day internal communications, taking content from idea stage right through to launch and measuring what lands well
  • Keep our channels fresh and engaging, including newsletters, intranet content, digital signage and town halls
  • Support our Supply Chain teams with targeted, localised communications—from newsletters to face‑to‑face town halls
  • Play a big part in our volunteering, charity and community initiatives, helping drive engagement internally and raising awareness externally

About you:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisation and time‑management skills, with experience managing multiple stakeholders
  • Some previous experience in a communications‑related role
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with a passion for engagement and storytelling
