Your Purpose

 

We are on the search for a talented individual to join us and work in one of our biggest breweries based in Burton on Trent. We are expanding and due to growth here at MCBC, we need you.

 

The Progressive Maintenance Technician Engineer is a Days Based position and a full-time permanent role. 39hr Contract, predominantly working a Mon-Fri basis, Flexibility to support weekends during Shutdown periods expected.

 

You will work within a team to provide engineering, operational and continuous improvement skills to deliver the production plan for the department and deliver and continuously improve on safety, cost, quality, and service targets. This role will require you to be able to fault find machinery, interrogate processes & complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.

 

In this role you will be responsible for maintenance and optimisation within the Brewery. You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment working on Asset Cares & planned maintenance to achieve maximum plant availability & efficiency.

 

You will demonstrate flexibility and implementation of skills, developing and utilising World Class Supply Chain processes to contribute to delivering World Class standards of operations within the work-team and Burton Brewery. Develop others, build capability, and continuously improve through the sharing of knowledge and skills, as well as being willing recipient of new skills to grow overall team competence and flexibility. 

 

 

 

About You

 

  • Time served engineer completing a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in technical engineering within Process &/OR Packaging Systems.
  • Ability to faulty find and rectify issues within mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Able to carry out Preventive Maintenance Inspections and rectify and prevent faults.
  • Proficiency in fitting techniques.
  • Understanding and Ability to interrogate PLC systems preferred.
  • Additionally experience in machining and welding preferred.

 

  • An understanding of the use of Centralised maintenance management systems.
  • Effectively communicate with teams on other shifts through daily handover meetings.
  • Experience within Continuous Improvement, RCM & Lean Techniques.
  • Ability to review and optimise Maintenance Regimes.
  • Able to diligently adhere to WCSC Business Centred Maintenance practices within the work area to increase production reliability and decrease unexpected breakdowns.
  • Able to plan, co-ordinate and improve work done by the team, as a member of that team.
  • Proficient in the Use of Microsoft suite, Excel, Word etc.
  • Ability to review maintenance tasks with a continuous mindset and suggesting improvement to the maintenance strategy around Safety, Cost, Reliability, Up Time.
