With a presence in over 100 countries and a team of 16,000 talented employees globally, we take pride in our traditions, brands and the role we play in uniting people to celebrate all life’s moments.

As one of the world’s leading beverage companies, we are passionate about promoting responsible drinking and creating a sustainable future.

In addition to popular favourites like Coors, Carling and Doom Bar, our beverage portfolio includes Aspall, Rekorderlig, Staropramen, Madrí Excepcional and Blue Moon. We also have an expanding and evolving premium spirits range that include Black Cow Vodka, Bandero Tequila and Tarquins Gin.

As a key member of the Molson Coors brewing operations team, the Focused Improvement Manager will play a critical role in driving performance improvements in brewing, fermentation, and filtration across our Western Europe breweries. Using industry best practices in brewing quality, standards, and technology alongside the WCSC 2.0 methodology (our Continuous Improvement system), you’ll ensure that brewing operations are optimized to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Brewing Performance & KPI Improvement:

    • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for brewing, fermentation, and filtration processes, driving the continuous improvement of key KPIs in line with industry best practices.
    • Coach and guide brewery teams in understanding performance losses and developing 90-day plans and improvement glide paths. Lead short-term ‘sprint’ projects to address any underperformance and bring KPI targets back on track.
  2. Project Support & SME for Capital Initiatives:

    • Support major capital projects and initiatives as the SME for brewing and liquid quality, including tender processes, factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and validation.
    • Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with safety, quality, sustainability, and environmental standards for brewing processes and equipment.
  3. Innovation & Value Optimization:

    • Continuously seek and assess new brewing technologies, ensuring these are integrated into value optimization and continual improvement processes.
    • Lead the value engineering stream for brewing innovation, identifying and supporting opportunities through collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers to implement new technologies.
  4. Implementation of Improvement Pillar Tools:

    • Facilitate the deployment of focused improvement tools such as Unified Problem Solving (UPS), Daily Direction Setting, and 90-day planning, coaching brewery teams as needed.
    • Support the development of site line structure teams, particularly Process Leads and Process Engineers, to enable sustainable performance improvements.
  5. Compliance & Operational Excellence:

    • Ensure that all brewing processes and equipment comply with applicable laws, safety protocols, and quality standards, while contributing to the achievement of brewing efficiency and capacity goals.
    • Support R&D projects to ensure brewing, fermentation, and filtration standards are upheld.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma in Brewing (IBD) or equivalent. Alternatively, a degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, or Food Science with relevant practical experience.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in brewing operations, ideally with expertise in fermentation and filtration technologies.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly in overseeing process optimization and improvement initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of brewing industry standards, safety protocols, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master Brewer Qualification: Considerable brewing experience preferred, with a strong track record in driving process improvement and efficiency in a brewery environment.
