Your Purpose

 

We’re now looking to recruit a new Head of Engineering to join our brilliant Operations Team.

 

This Senior Leadership role is responsible for leading the Burton Brewery Engineering department and is ultimately accountable for PQCDSM (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety & Morale) in their area.

 

The Head of Engineering is responsible for leading the site PM (Progressive Maintenance) pillar and translating the site masterplan into departmental masterplans. This senior role also play a significant part in the site Leadership pillar and is responsible in part for setting the strategic direction for site to support the achievement of the CBN (Compelling Business Need.)

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Accountable for safely optimising efficiency in all areas of Engineering utilizing WCSC 2.0 Processes which contribute to world class standards of operation and asset management through utilizing, monitoring, and evaluating Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, EH&S, Morale and Loss and Waste Analysis to continuously improve performance. Leads Innovation projects and transformational change combining technology and people processes to improve responsiveness, adaptability, and efficient performance.

 

• Accountable for building a winning engineering team by role modelling our values and actively coaching people’s development by the application of robust people management practices, creating space for effective coaching and communication, recognising the right behaviours & outputs, correcting behaviors and outputs that are not productive and providing effective development opportunities. Coaches’ individuals and teams. Executes a department communication process ensuring that employees at all levels are provided with clear information about department objectives, are kept informed of actual performance vs. plan and are supported as part of change management efforts. Builds robust workforce and succession plans for all critical positions.

 

• Responsible for ensuring that all health, safety and environment, quality, cost and reliability standards are met and driving conformance to regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g. Pressure Safety System Regulations etc…) in Engineering. This includes a responsibility to audit performance and to check compliance with these standards and a responsibility to support all employees in meeting these operating standards both directly (through coaching, training, resources etc) and indirectly by developing a balanced approach to implementation of WCSC2.0 practices through learn, do, teach.

 

• Responsible for maintaining and improving the quality and reliability of Burton Brewery assets by leading the PM pillar and actively supporting the Leadership Pillar activities.

 

• Develop and manage engineering strategy to meet or exceed annual plans, develop and execute budgetary and capital plans, review existing equipment capacity and manpower in order to meet long range planning goals which are aligned to the brewery and the Molson Coors Strategy. As part of an integrated brewery management team, sets objectives and priorities and leads the change management processes for the department. Builds effective partnerships across the brewery and supply chain global network.

  • Significant experience in a senior leadership role within Supply Chain.
  • Proven track record of building, leading and developing high performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to coach at all levels of the organisation through the learn-do-teach principle.
  • Experience implementing and sustaining World Class Supply Chain processes in fast moving consumer goods,
  • Process or chemical environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing cost management.
