The Headlines:  

In the role of Director, International Tax working in Milwaukee, you will be a leader on our Tax team, responsible for directing global efforts to deal with income taxes, plan activities to minimize tax burden, manage compliance and audit activities ensuring required filings with governmental agencies are timely, and that audits are appropriately handled. You will also ensure SFAS 109 and SOC activities are appropriately completed for tax expense and related operation and documentation of internal controls.

 

You will report directly to our VP of tax and work closely with other members of the broader tax team, corporate finance, and other internal and external stakeholders.

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Lead international tax research and planning initiatives to ensure development of appropriate tax planning initiatives and recommendations
  • Lead development of international tax compliance policies and approaches
  • Ensure international treasury functions are completed in the most tax effective manner and in accordance with tax regulatory bodies
  • Ensure compliance with all US tax reporting, FAS 109, and 404 requirements
  • Resolve tax issues cost-effectively related to transfer pricing examinations by foreign governmental auditors
  • Manage a team of international tax managers, and develop, maintain, and grow the team professionally

 

The Other Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting; Masters in Taxation, LLM-Taxation, CPA, or PhD in Economics highly desirable
  • You have at least 10 years of relevant tax department experience, including previous management experience
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles – GAAP
  • SAP knowledge, Corptax experience, Vertex tax compliance, fixed asset system knowledge -  a plus 
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and financial and tax accounting principles
  • You can interact effectively with peers to identify issues, build consensus, and provide direction while maintaining a balance between technical and interpersonal skills
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of priorities.   
  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent relationships
