The Headlines

 

In the role of Environmental & Sustainability Engineer working in Irwindale, CA you will be part of the Technical Services Team.  You will be responsible for driving environmental & sustainability day to day compliance, obtain and maintain necessary permits, understand impacts of pending regulation & enhance MillerCoors community reputation.

 

 You will lead site environmental and sustainability towards the vision of a high performance team culture and drive change management initiatives to continually improve both plant and process operations to meet World Class Operations Standards. 

 

This position reports to the Sr. Manager Technical Services and works closely with engineering, utilities, quality, safety and employees at all levels in operations.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with regulatory  environmental requirements
  • Environmental Risk Reduction Initiatives
  • Environmental and sustainability focused improvement efforts
  • Plant safety support
  • Coaching and skill in environmental requirements and social sustainability

     

The Other Qualifications:

  • You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical degree
  • Your previous experience will include a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in an environmental field in a manufacturing environment.  Preferably EHS experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing facility
  • You will also have past experience with implementing water & energy reduction and waste/recycling programs.
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.  You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy 
  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business
  • You are serious about delivering results, and take pride in a proven track record in delivering. 
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
