Our purpose at Miller Coors a Molson Coors Company is to delight the world’s beer drinkers.   We are the world’s family brewer, brewing and selling our beer for over 350 years around the world.  In support of our purpose, we operate Can and End manufacturing plants in Golden Colorado known as Rocky Mountain Metal Container.  Our End Plant is where we make the beer can lids to support our beer packaging operations across the United States.  The plant was completely rebuilt in 2015, and produces approximately 4.2 billion ends per year.   We currently have multiple openings for production apprentice positions, which is what we call our internal training program for developing Production Specialists.

The Headlines


In the role of a Tool Room Toolmaker working in Golden, CO you will be part of the Rocky Mountain Metal Container Ends Plant production team. 


You will be responsible for Setup and operation of machine tooling and die sets, perform extensive tooling and die reworks, fabrication, repairs or modifications.

This position is a 4x4 rotating schedule.


The Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate machine tooling and die sets, perform extensive tooling and die reworks, fabrication, repairs or modifications.
  • Troubleshoot production tooling and die problems and take corrective action.
  • Setup and operate machine tooling to achieve tolerances as specified.
  • Disassemble dies or component parts, repair and assemble to designated stack heights.
  • Identify and resolve production tooling or die set problems and recommend modifications.
  • Perform tooling or die fabrication, repairs or modifications using design drawings, blueprints, operation instruction sheets, sketches or written instructions.
  • Operate precision measuring instruments and equipment to assure conformance to established specifications.
  • Perform extensive die rework and tooling rework as necessary.
  • Train new personnel in tooling functions as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


The Other Qualifications –


  • Required education: High school or equivalent; 2 years trade school or apprenticeship.
  • Related work experience: 5 years tool and die experience;
  • Minimum 1 year operating toolroom equipment.
