Marketing & Data Analytics Manager- Programmatic

This role is part of the Precision and Digital Marketing Team, tasked with building the modern, digital capabilities that will enable Molson Coors North America Marketing to use data, technology, and analytics to move at speed with confidence. 

 

Specifically, this role is responsible for creating and executing a strategic approach to biddable media for the North American enterprise.  In addition, this role will support the team in formalization and socialization of a future-proofing roadmap for person-based marketing (individuals at scale), uncovering opportunities, and fueling our success in precision across all media – focus on digital.

 

This role is responsible for elevating our approach to activating in a data-driven world, including:

 

  • Leading our enterprise-level programmatic strategy framework and best practices as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders
  • Operational execution of the Molson Coors DSP(s) and SSP(s) – identifying the data sources, building capabilities, and execution requirements
  • Day-to-day management of external ad technology partners - programmatic (e.g., DSP, Dynamic Creative Optimization, viewability/fraud/other measurement partners)
  • Partners with a cross-functional team to meet (or exceed) pre-determined KPIs
  • Contributes and helps to manage our Precision and Digital Marketing Learning Agenda
  • On-going education to Brand Marketing and other internal functions so that the enterprise can keep up with the pace of change in marketing.

 

The role is one of influence and evangelism, so this person must form strong relationships internally and externally.  This person will report to the Sr. Mgr, Data Strategy, and management responsibility for our ad technology (i.e., programmatic, identity mgt, and ad verification) and managed service partners.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify needs and opportunities of the enterprise for technology to drive the use of data with external technology partners; focus in the programmatic space
  • Lead the enterprise programmatic execution, giving direction to the organization and agency for them to execute against their specific plans, and continuously educate the organization on the data-driven approach to marketing across all media and marketing channels
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of short- and long-term precision marketing roadmaps and collaborate with analytics, brand, and media teams to determine results-driven media KPIs
  • Responsible for driving marketing value with improving effectiveness and increased brand penetration
  • Contribute to and execute the data strategy vision set by the leadership from the team
  • Contribute to uncovering new innovative data-based media technology and process opportunities to reach high-potential audiences
  • Evaluate and review precision marketing strategies and optimization strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and audience composition requirements
  • Work in concert with key stakeholders to ensure data tech solutions and executions are in service to overarching marketing vision
  • Interact with ad tech and IT regularly to ensure best in class results

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of digital media experience (especially programmatic media and consumer data) with either client, agency, ad tech, or related experience
  • A relevant related Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Marketing background with significant experience in consumer data-driven marketing, both digital and traditional formats, and data-driven media buying, on the agency, client, ad-tech, or consulting sides
  • Management of DSP and SSP platforms
  • Experience working in both the US and Canada marketplaces
  • Fully understand the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party consumer data landscape and its effect on marketing strategy
  • Knowledge of media landscape with the ability to translate to impact marketing opportunities Knowledge of digital policy and national/local data privacy regulation (e.g., CCPA)
  • Able to persuade and negotiate effectively
  • Experience in presenting to a broad range of audiences, inclusive of senior management, with impact
