The Headlines:

As an Quality Intern – Grain Operations you will be part of our early talent program where you will learn about our business, network with other interns and have opportunities to participate in social and educational opportunities in addition to your daily job responsibilities.  The internship is full-time, beginning in June through August. 


The Responsibilities:

  • Position will be located in Monte Vista, CO at Molson Coors Beverage Company’s 6.8 M bushel malt barley elevator
  • Preferred background would include knowledge of agriculture and currently enrolled in an agricultural degree
  • Utilize strong communications and team dynamics to build customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Become familiar with grain elevator safety programs at a OSHA Voluntary Protection Program STAR site
  • Learn the process of receiving, conditioning, storing, and shipping of malt barley
  • Learn about logistics and rail car management
  • Become familiar with temperature and insect monitoring processes in stored malting barley
  • Learn about malt barley purchasing processes and barley grain quality metrics
  • Learn to conduct housekeeping and safety audits of multiple malt barley facilities in the Rocky Mountain West
  • Develop medium term preventative maintenance plan and budget


The Qualifications:

You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in grain science and industry with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Prior coursework, internship or work experience in grain quality or commodity related field.

Project management coursework and experience preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, high level of proficiency in Excel.

Utilize strong communication skills and operate within team dynamics to build customer and stakeholder relationships.

Ability to work full-time 40 hours per week during the summer
