The Headlines:   

In the role of Tower Lead - Record to Report, working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Global Business Service Team.  You will be responsible for coordinating Record to Report operations in the GBS Milwaukee Center by leading a team of Team Leaders supporting technical accounting, operational cash and tax activities as well as commercial accounting. The role is responsible for the alignment with Controllers Group priorities, country specific business objectives, audit requirements, alignment in operating rhythm between the global GBS hub and the Business Units it supports.



The Responsibilities: 

  • Most importantly, you will lead a team of 2 talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations  
  • Establishes strategy for continuous improvement based on organizational priorities
  • Responsible for coordinating with Business Process Owners and other teams within GBS and the BU's to streamline the end to end process
  • Responsible for establishing and reporting KPI's to ensure that the team is meeting the needs of the Business Units that it supports
  • Oversees the service management of the team including ensure that there is a proper governance structure to address the service delivery requirements of the Business
  • Identifies, develops, and implements continuous improvement actions to meet the needs of the business as well as ensure compliance with applicable controls
  • Ensures that the end-to-end Process Maps and SOPs are followed and process controls are in place and operating effectively. Drives an empowered and engaged high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and service delivery
  • Builds and maintains strong and effective relationships with various Business Unit Finance Directors, Chief Financial Officers and with Global Finance Controller group to foster trust, commitment, accountability, and results
  • Fosters a strong customer service culture across the center to ensure quality services are delivered to the business units
  • Builds and maintains relationships by collaborating across business units and departments to foster trust, commitment, accountability, and results
  • Builds and uses knowledge of industry trends and thought leadership to identify opportunities to improve processes either through general improvements or via new technologies etc.
  • Identify, support, and assist in the implementation of technology solutions to drive standardization including defining the business requirements
  • Validate and support GBS transition plans including assessment of activities and understanding/taking accountability for the incoming processes and activities
  • Provides support for project governance & escalations during the migration

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred and 10 or more years of relevant experience
