The Headlines:
In the role of a Logistics Analyst working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the GBS Rates and Compliance Team and report into the GBS Team Lead.
This position works closely with various groups within the Customer Supply Chain org (Load Control, Transportation Master Data, Regional Transportation Managers, Claims, Transportation Finance) as well as other areas within the company (Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Brewing Materials).
The Responsibilities:
Analysis & Reporting:
- Freight payment management and dispute resolution – ensuring accurate and timely payment to our carriers.
- Management of freight payment for over-the-road, intermodal, rail, import/export, ocean, and LTL/small pack
- Ensure processes and systems are robust to support $700M yearly freight spend.
- Management of third party payment vendor for any invoices not paid systemically through our internal TMS.
- Application of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts to help drive business results.
- Daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly review and resolution of various exception reports.
- Generation of weekly/monthly metrics & KPIs.
- Contract auditing, rate validation, audit compliance.
- Special projects, process improvement initiatives, and process documentation/SOP creation.
The Other Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Business Administration or another relevant field and/or 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.
- You act with appropriate urgency to various projects, tasks, and deadlines.
- You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional, and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent relationships within the business.
- You are serious about delivering results and take pride in a proven track record.
- Excellent PC (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS-Outlook) and analytical skills, experience in Business Objects and SAP are highly desirable.
