The Headlines:    

In the role of Director, EHS working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Technical Services and Engineering team.  You will develop and lead strategic direction and deliver execution of EHS initiatives and set, along with key stakeholders, long-term direction for environmental, health and safety into actionable strategies


This position reports to VP, NA EHS & Technical Servicesand works closely with North America and Global teams. 



The Responsibilities: 

  • Most importantly, you will lead a team of 6 talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations 
  • Develop talent pipeline for the EHS leadership functions
  • Manages the delivery of  EHS systems and programs to sustain a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
  • Delivers against KPIs and governance requirements
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, audit and review of environmental and health and safety standards across the business that are consistent in country, aligned Globally, and meet and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure effective and consistent implementation of these standards by influencing the leadership teams
  • Provide regular accessible reports to appropriate business stakeholders on the EHS compliance performance of the organization
  • Play an integral role in the accelerated execution of WCSC through ownership of the EHS Pillar




The Other Qualifications:   

  • You are an authentic leader.  You value and respect differences and believe diversity with inclusion is the key to collaboration and a winning team culture 
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline, Chartered H&S Practitioner or equivalent or Chartered Environmentalist or equivalent OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in the field of Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science
  • You have at least 12 years experience in  EHS leadership roles within the CPG industry, or in related industries
  • Advanced knowledge of safety, health and environmental  requirements and processes
  • Experience aligning to strategic objectives and translating them into action
  • Track record of identifying, creating and implementing innovative solutions
  • Managerial experience to engage functional teams across Supply Chain in order to develop and execute  internal standards as well as insure compliance requirements
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities 
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome   
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments  
  • You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow
