The Headlines:   

In the role of Associate R&D Packaging Engineer I working in Milwaukee, WI, you will develop and execute the Qualification plan for the Can Strategy across North American Breweries

 

This position reports to Sr R&D Packaging Manager.

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Commodity Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Training in Aluminum Packaging
  • Work autonomously to plan, execute and report Package Test Plan (PTP) work with Brilliant Execution. Identifying supplier performance using WCSC Metrics, including PR, MTBS and Waste Reduction 
  • During Qualification phases, determine Quality Metrics, follow up with Supplier on Quality Improvements until Brewery qualified and approved
  • Execute Root Cause Analysis on Quality related issues
  • Develop Specifications, Best Practices for Aluminum Packaging
  • Communicate effectively with Procurement, R&D, Breweries and Suppliers

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging OR equivalent experience (4+ years) 
  • You have at least 2-3 years experience in Aluminum Packaging or related field experience
  • Knowledgeable in WCSC Metrics
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)/Problem Solving Skills
  • Self motivation and tenacity to make things happen
  • Travel 25%-50%
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome  
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments
