The Headlines:
In the role of the Manufacturing Engineering Technician (Malting CBM), at the Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado, you will support malting operations in the utilization and promotion of predictive maintenance technologies to help predict and prevent equipment failures.
The shift for this role is 5x2 Monday – Friday, Dayshift.
This role reports to the Equipment Specialist Leader.
The Responsibilities:
- Maximize equipment availability and reliability through application of proactive, predictive, and preventative technologies. Proactively identify opportunities to utilize technology to improve equipment monitoring. Perform route-based collection and analysis of data with CBM tools.
- Support Plant Engineering on checkout, startup, and rework of new and existing equipment and processes. Thorough knowledge of engineering design methods and operational parameters required. Provide feedback to plant engineering and management on problem solutions and steps required to avoid future problems.
- Ensure that new and upgraded manufacturing designs and procedures are operationally reliable, maintainable, cost effective, safe, and utilize the most proven technological advances.
- Applies multi-craft skills in the many different and widespread manufacturing operations that exist in process, packaging, utility and facility areas. Incumbent must have, or develop, practical working knowledge of assigned manufacturing areas.
- Monitor progress and stay abreast of technological advances in the CBM field. Must have or acquire advanced CBM certifications and maintain them.
- Assist and/or advise maintenance and operations leadership in establishing, maintaining, and auditing an adequate maintenance strategy and schedule for new or modified equipment. May occasionally be responsible for the coordination and/or the guidance and training of others.
- Guarantee accurate documentation exists and is reported to management, operations, and MET’s. Participation in RCFA, RAM, and RCM will also be required. Use of CMMS to track and record work will be required.
- Provide proactive investigation and/or problem solving for manufacturing machinery and processes to discover and define operational or maintenance improvements that provide for improved productivity and quality.
- Design, configure, and modify diverse and complex monitoring systems and strategies for the continued improvement of the manufacturing process.
- Provide shift coverage to meet the needs of the business. Conformance to work schedule with CMMS tool will be required.
- Monitor the manufacturing process and associated support facilities and process systems utilizing condition-based monitoring tools to enhance reliability, productivity and quality.
- Acquire and analyze data as it applies to the manufacturing process and utilize that data to determine machine health in the manufacturing process.
- Must understand and diagnose data from diverse and complex mechanical and electrical systems in process, packaging, facility and utility departments.
- Support Plant Engineering with technological leadership and apply technical skills to new and existing equipment and processes.
- Provide timely, cost effective, and state of the art solutions to production and maintenance problems.
- Provide CBM support to manufacturing operations as requested by engineering, maintenance management, operations or maintenance teams.
- Promotes a team effort by effectively communicating with production and maintenance team leaders on a daily basis to identify and solve production problems.
- Remain cognizant of new technology advances in the manufacturing environment and provide information regarding new technologies to plant management.
The Other Qualifications:
- You have a degree in post-secondary schooling or have completed a certified apprenticeship in either an electrical or mechanical discipline or have equivalent manufacturing education and experience achieved from working in the manufacturing maintenance environment for at least 5 years.
- Experienced in building and sustaining strong and meaningful relationships.
- Experienced in analyzing and solving complex problems and implementing technical solutions of a varying and unusual nature with little supervision.
- Individual should have a passion for accurate documentation and have good functional skills with Team Center, SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Must be very proficient at team building and communications with all levels of plant personnel.
- Must be able to work effectively in crisis arenas and under pressure. Able to make accurate decisions with minimal supervision.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and look for ways to integrate these technologies into the existing production environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel for training seminars, certification classes, relevant conferences and trade shows. (Approx. 2-3 weeks / year)
