The Headlines:

 

In the role of Senior Financial Analyst working in Chicago you will be part of the Emerging Finance team. This person will provide finance support to the growing Non Alcohol (RTD Coffee, Energy Drink, Kombucha, Soda, etc.) and/or Next Generation (CBD, RTD Cocktail, Full Bottle Spirit, etc.) groups of the Molson Coors Beverage Company Emerging Growth division. This position will work in collaboration with our cross-functional teams and Emerging Finance Leadership by performing business analytics, assisting in building the Annual Operating Plan, risk & opportunity planning, various ad-hoc analyses / process development, and generating and evaluating business cases to guide strategic decisions and the future advancement of these two groups. The role will also be responsible for month end activities that include, but are not limited to, forecasting, reporting, and preparing entries as needed to ensure accurate accounting.

 

The Non Alcohol and Next Generation groups are key components of a division that is in development and constant evolution, so this candidate must be comfortable with change, enjoy proactively working through ambiguity, and be well organized in order to assess and execute deliverables with moving pieces.

 

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Finance – Non Alcohol & Next Generation Beverages.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of all aspects of performance reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial process management and execution for brands within the Non Alc and Next Gen portfolio
  • Demonstrates excellent working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and applies them to provide objective, timely, and accurate financial information to meet / exceed regulatory and legislative requirements driving measurable business results
  • Excellent communicator with an ability to synthesize large amounts of data to extract meaningful insights to be conveyed to various audiences at different levels of the organization and partner organizations resulting in stakeholder buy in and/or actionable next steps
  • Understands various brand ownership structures and their specific nuances required to meet financial, regulatory, and legal obligations
  • Demonstrates insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide actionable counsel to internal and external business partners to help drive business
  • Demonstrates curiosity and is comfortable with ambiguity around developing new processes, performing ad hoc analyses, and proactively seeking information from customers / business partners to ensure the success of existing and new businesses
  • Understands and facilitates the integration of business processes, people, and relevant technology, to identify, configure, and communicate useful information, and to provide actionable business counsel to support business decision making across the enterprise


 
The Other Qualifications:

  • You have a relative 4-year degree and at least 4+ years of financial analyst experience
  • You have solid knowledge of GAAP and internal controls (CPA or CMA preferred)
  • You have strong Excel skills and experience with financial software (SAP, Nielsen, Margin Minder preferred)
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.
  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent relationships within the business
