Field Marketing leads the national and local marketing direction within the local market area by implementing brand, channel, customer and consumer strategies into their go-to-market plans to achieve volume, profit and share goals. FMAs assist the Field Marketing Director, with primary responsibilities encompassing Alliance/Event activation & Contract Fulfillment, Management of sampling & promotion agencies, Management of creative agencies, implementation of local media initiatives, and support of DSO sales initiatives. This position will be located in St. Louis or Kansas City.


Job Responsibilities

  • Steward brand positioning throughout the assigned MU
  • Assist FMM in customization of Corporate Marketing direction for the MU with an understanding of brand, channel, customer and consumer objectives and strategies
  • Assist FMM w/execution against the various levers of the marketing/media mix within MU
  • Oversee fulfillment of contractual Alliance activities and team approvals of creative
  • Coordinate on-site activation for alliances and promotional media events
  • Oversee ticket allocations, tracking, distribution, requests and shipments
  • Coordinate Alliance Media calendars and collaborate with media and agencies to ensure flighted media aligns w plan
  • Assist in development of Alliance-focused selling tools and retail solutions
  • Manage promotional/sampling agency, inclusive of alliance sampling, retail promotions, and budget
  • Coordinate InHaus (creative agency) requests and approvals for artwork, inclusive of signage updates, print ads, re-sizing of creative
  • Assist FMD with Annual Planning to develop MU  annual plan
  • Provide commercial and consumer data analysis to support MU annual plan
  • Support presentation and implementation of annual plan, with a focus on tier-two  or outstate distributors
  • Assist in development and delivery of event recaps and share learnings/best practices
  • Develop and maintain positive, constructive business building relationships with internal team members, Corporate Marketing outside partners, retailers, and vendors
  • Coordinate ordering and fulfillment of point-of-sale, merchandise and materials for off-cycle (non-POSC) initiatives, such as special events, manifests or sales initiatives
  • Assist FMD in developing MU programming aligned with brand positioning, consumer and channel strategies
  • Assist in Promo media buying, program development, and vendor relationships
  • Assist FMD in budget execution and tracking, coordination and reconciliation to ensure budget integrity with regional finance
  • Prepare and submit Requests to Buy from field marketing to Procurement


Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • A relevant 4 year degree with sound business understanding including: brand, retail/channel, consumer strategies and 3-tier distribution system
  • Sharepoint experience preferred 
  • 1-2 years sales/marketing experience within a blue chip consumer goods company is preferred
  • Field, Brand or Customer marketing or Chain selling experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen
