Summary:  The Yuengling Company Supply Chain Analyst will support the Customer Service Manager and Business Operations Director in all Supply Chain and Distributor Order Services functions. Responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing Distributors Sales (depletions) and Inventory data to help support TYC Distributor Supply and Days of Inventory targets in alignment with forecasts and forecast changes. The Supply Chain Analyst must be a team player and will require strong communication skills via phone and email to remain in regular contact with TYC Field Sales teams and our Distributor network Partners. This is a role for a proactive personality who enjoys building and maintaining strong processes and problem solving while working across a broad array of Distributor Partners, TYC teammates and building strong relationships with our Supply Chain partners at Molson Coors (Primary) and D.G. Yuengling & Son (secondary).

 

Key Job Functions

  1. Monitor Distributor Inventory, Distributor Sales (depletions) and Shipments- Under direction of, and in alignment with, TYC Annual Forecast and Customer Service Manager
    • Develop and monitor reports (via Molson Coors Reporting, VIP, Share data)
    • Align state and Distributor level forecasts
    • Field Inquiries from Distributors on all orders and logistics
    • In alignment with the Yuengling Partnership Vision, effectively manage Distributor contacts to ensure regular communication & ensure contacts are updated with all areas related to TYC Supply and production
    • Align with Molson Coors Brewery Supply Chain team to stay abreast of changes or factors impacting order fulfillment
    • Align with Molson Coors Brewery on any specific requests from the Brewery or proposed changes to weekly orders or production
    • Monitor Beer inventory post production
    • Monitor logistics and delivery of beer loads
    • Responsible for aligning to a culture of communication and coordination with TYC Sales Organization, and Distributors to drive strong supply chain results
    • Contribute to Customer Service and Business Operations team to help identify training & development opportunities to grow TYC Supply Chain effectiveness
    • Under direction of Customer Service Manager and Business Operations Director monitor key competitive or industry activity that may impact TYC’s business

 

  1. Proactive Coordination of Supply/Demand Processes to achieve Inventory targets
    • Develop strong analytic process to anticipate upcoming orders and needs
    • Attend weekly and monthly Internal (Molson Coors/DGY/TYC Field Sales) and External (Distributors) Supply meetings to stay close to market or production conditions that can impact demand or fulfillment
    • Monitor Finished Goods Production and fulfillment to ensure low levels of Finished Goods losses
    • Communicate inventory concerns to Customer Service Manager and Business Operations Director
    • Align closely with Finance and Administration Team to ensure close monitoring of both demand & supply as well as opportunities to reduce costs or increase revenue through forecasting tweaks
    • Contribute as needed to forecast analytics or builds to increase forecast accuracy

 

  1. Other Responsibilities
    • Coach, mentor, and train TYC and Distributor sales personnel on ordering and inventory best practices
    • Occasionally present to TYC Management team or Distributors on progress against supply chain priorities and tactics
    • Drive the key aspects of the Supply chain role which contribute to our Partnership Vision (communication, problem solving, simplification of process)

 

Skills and Qualifications:

    • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft software programs Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Detailed oriented, with the ability to work independently or as a team.
    • Requires strong analytical skills
    • Requires understanding of the three tiers of the beer industry.
    • Requires the ability to analyze data and execute supply chain strategies.
    • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as requested, directed or assigned by management.
    • This position will be a hybrid role- home office and TYC Office based and would require very little travel

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience required. Prior Supply Chain Experience and understanding needed.
