This position is for a Financial Analyst with The Yuengling Company (TYC).  Formed in September 2020, The Yuengling Company LLC (TYC) is a new joint venture between D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery®, and the Molson Coors Beverage Company. Headquartered in Ft. Worth, Texas, The Yuengling Company will lead the expansion of the iconic Yuengling Portfolio of Brands and drive all facets of the business in new markets beyond the 190+ year old brewer’s existing 22-state footprint, which will eventually include future D. G. Yuengling & Son, Inc.’s New England expansion.



Summary:  The Financial Analyst (FA) will oversee important financial processes and functions within the organization necessary to achieve company financial objectives.  This person will provide financial analysis to, and drive the important financial processes for, the Finance and Administration Director and General Manager of TYC.  The FA will work closely with the overall TYC leadership team, Molson Coors shared services in finance, and DGY accounting team as needed. The Financial Analyst will maintain strong relationships across all business partners’ shared service providers, departments, and vendors, as well as TYC distributor and retailer partners.  Key functional responsibilities include regular reporting and tracking of budgets, costs and spending, supporting financial planning and analysis processes, administration/monitoring of GL postings & reclassing, state and federal excise tax reporting, month end closing, fixed asset tracking, and general financial analysis as directed by the F&AD. The Financial Analyst will work cross-functionally with other TYC departments as required to assist in planning, analysis and decision making, and to improve company financial performance. 


  1. Key Job Functions:
    • Oversee the accuracy and completion of day-to-day financial activity for sales, marketing, revenue management, and cost containment that mirrors the mission statement, core values, and culture of The Yuengling Company.  
    • Perform analysis on financial and accounting metrics for leadership.
    • Assist with preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and analytical review and ensure complete, accurate, timely and consistent reporting.
    • Provide the data and insights to minimize financial risk and maximize profitability.
    • Provide financial leadership to senior management to aid in strategic decision making.
    • Work cross functionally with Molson Coors financial team to ensure oversight of the accounting functions and reporting responsibilities.
    • Establish and maintain comprehensive controls over daily financial practices to ensure accuracy of company results.
    • Ongoing monitoring of financial activity and implementation of continuous improvements.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government filings and reporting requirements.
    • Oversee state and federal tax, including TTB and state alcohol boards.
    • Assist in activities for any external audits of the company.
    • Build operating metrics and coordinate cross-functionally to drive departmental and company objectives.
    • Manage general ledger processes to ensure profitability, including month end close.
    • Aid in the data mining, financial planning, forecasting, support sales, marketing, and operational planning efforts.
    • Identify any variances and assist in developing solutions to improve operational processes.
    • Build strong understanding of all business functions within The Yuengling Company.
    • Review accounts receivable, distributor billbacks, pricing administration, annual budgeting and tracking of budgets.
    • Maintain and monitor the data, reporting and shared services between the JV and DGY/MC.

    • Effectively communicate with all related departments and functions within the organization and key stakeholders internally and externally.
    • Play a role in evaluating effectiveness of spend, return on investment, and provide input on investment, budgeting and building profitable long-term growth.
    • Develop an understanding of the brewing industry dynamics and what competitive benchmarks are necessary to keep the company financially strong.
    • Maintain and keep all information confidential.
  • Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to lead by example in a positive and motivating manner.


  1. Required Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Acounting, Finance or Business Administration is required (CPA or CMA credentials or advanced degree a plus)
    • Candidate should have ten plus years of financial experience, with a proven track record of results – background in SAP preferred.
    • Broad based background with Financial Statements, FP&A, Cash Management, General Ledger, Month End Close, and Tax.
  2. Other Responsibilities:
    • Position resides in Dallas/Fort Worth area and requires occasional travel (typically no more than 5% but more in the first 12-18 months).
    • Must perform other duties as required by the Immediate Supervisor.
