Summary:  The Business Operations Director will be responsible for Supply Chain Strategy and Execution, Business Development & Expansion, TYC Distributor Network Strategy, Pricing Strategy & Development &, while contributing to the forecasting Process and Leadership Team Alignment. This role will serve as the key point of contact for TYC between MC and DGY Partners as it relates to aligning key shared services in the areas of Supply, production and Distributor network development.  

Prime areas of accountability are to enhance process and planning to ensure strong Supply Chain delivery, Brand and state pricing strategy alignment, forecasting, revenue, and coordination between the Key commercial, supply chain and financial functions within TYC.

 

Key Job Functions:

 

  1. SUPPLY CHAIN:
    • Key owner of the TYC Upply Chain process from all elements of ordering, inventory fulfillment and inventory management
    • Customer Service Owner – Own relationship and process of Distributor Order fulfillment with MC Supply chain team & DGY Operations to ensure On Time, In Full delivery of Distributor Orders
    • Inventory Management – Own process of ensuring Distributor inventory days on hand are with in The Yuengling Company’s target days.
    • Project Lead – Ownership for TYC of all projects involving MC operations and DGY commercial team alignment, including communication and driving tasks checklist
    • Long Term Forecast effectiveness- Greater than 12 months  - Work closely with Commercial Finance team to ensure annual and long term forecasting in alignment with TYC 3 year strategic plans
    • Develop systems and processes to enhance overall sales execution with the sales team and distributor network
    • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Business Intelligence, and Marketing to build annual and monthly company volume forecasts
    • Lead the coordination of limited time release items, new brand rollouts and revenue maximization within TYC Brand, Portfolio and Revenue strategies
    • Lead the alignment of Commercial and Operations functions to maximize company efficiencies

 

  1. Business Development:
    • Lead strategy and process for new state and business expansion including driving expansion checklist, ensuring accountability to key tasks and working with MC and DGY to secure necessary support and alignment
    • Lead strategy and process for Distributor consolidation ensuring smooth transfer of Yuengling Brand Distribution rights ensuring accountability to key tasks and working with MC and DGY to secure necessary support and alignment
    • Drive Network Development strategies to optimize Yuengling opportunity for strong and willing Partners in current and new states
    • Strategic Lead for new commercial Projects, Opportunities and alignment with Molson Coors Supply Chain & Operations Teams and DGY/TYC Commercial Teams
    • Lead / contribute to strategic projects as necessary including but not limited to TYC annual 3 year strategic Plan update, MC Brewery qualifications, and long term expansion planning.  

 

  1. TYC Pricing/Revenue Management Strategy Lead:
    • Ensure pricing is in alignment with Brand and portfolio strategies, and pricing reinforces our retail positioning and in consistent alignment with the sales revenue and overall company objectives
    • Support revenue management and optimization in alignment with commercial Finance Manager to meet company objectives for annual and long term planning
    • Work cross functionally with TYC and DGY Commercial Sales teams to ensure Distributor retail and FOB pricing developed in line with strategies while communicating internally and externally to ensure understanding of strategies for use in developing sales tactics
    • Develop, maintain, and keep strong records of pricing communications to distributors while understanding changes in freight and cost of goods to ensure profitable business for TYC and Partners

 

  1. Other Responsibilities:
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Serve as lead for TYC on all commercial and supply chain projects between Molson, DGY and TYC
  • Strong Leader with Ability to positively impact team and drive culture and values of Organization
  • Expertise in building teams and developing talent for succession and growth
  • Strong ability to deliver volume growth and financial results
    • Work closely with General Manager to ensure alignment of TYC Leadership team communications, meeting agendas and team alignment
    • Develop, coach, mentor, and train TYC and Distributor teams on Supply Chain direction and Distributor Inventory Management
    • Maintain strategic direction and disciplines within the Supply Chain and Network Development functions
    • Effectively manage financial budgets and company resources
    • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data
    • Ensure team proficiency and training in Yuengling Partnership Vision, Beer Institute Data, Pricing Strategies, MC DRIVE System, and other resources
    • Highly disciplined individual

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred.
  • 8+ years in operations/supply chain, general management or sales operations.
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient/advanced in Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
    • Detailed oriented, with the ability to work independently or as a team.
    • Leadership abilities aligned to working in a cross functional setting between sales/marketing, operations/supply chain and commercial finance
    • Requires expertise in communication and presentation skills.
    • Requires extensive knowledge of the three tiers of the beverage industry.
    • Requires the ability to analyze statistical data and formulate strategies.
    • Proficient in understanding and analyzing Syndicated Data (IRI preferred).
    • Experience and understanding of pricing strategies and systems.
    • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as requested, directed or assigned by management.
    • Position is based in North TX and requires 10-15% travel
