Summary:  Business Intelligence and Analytics Manager will manage and oversee analytics projects and processes to provide data driven insights related to the business performance of the Yuengling Company. This person will drive the development of the standards and collections processes to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines for continued growth for TYC, in conjunction with the Finance Manager and TYC Field Sales team. This role will work closely with the overall TYC leadership team, TYC sales and marketing, and the D.G. Yuengling & Son 1Yuengling team while also maintaining strong relationships across all business partners, departments, vendors, and TYC distributors. Key functional responsibilities include utilizing KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, business intelligence, and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision-making. The position will work closely with the Director of Finance and Administration and Finance Manager as required to assist in planning, analysis, decision making, and to improve company performance.

 

  1. Key Job Functions:

         

    • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions.
    • Function as the lead for all TYC Sales & Marketing data and analysis needs.
    • Conduct quantitative as well as qualitative analysis of key data metrics in the industry to track performance and identify opportunities and gaps. Content may include shipments, consumption, depletions, dollar sales, share, distribution, consumption drivers, including promotional display, pricing, activity, consumer panel, industry, or custom consumer insights, etc.
    • Support leadership teams with business intelligence to assist with decision making.
    • Develop and maintain scorecards to measure share, volume, distribution, feature/ad display conversion, and provide insights for sales force to execute.
    • Support marketing team in developing metrics to understand, evaluate, and target opportunities for brand development and measure campaign program and promotion effectiveness.
    • Assist national accounts with use and execution of chain customer annual business plans, including category management, assortment recommendations and selling strategies.
    • Troubleshoot data discrepancies with internal and external sources.
    • Support distributor, zone, region, and chain planning process with appropriate reports to help identify market development and package opportunities.
    • Act as point person with VIP (Vermont Information Processing), Circana (IRI), and other current and future vendors to communicate TYC needs, monitor data accuracy and train users as needed.
    • Play a critical role in developing monthly and quarterly sales forecast to provide guidance to operations team with updated information at package level.
    • Build compelling selling strategies and sales tools (Sell Sheets, program decks, etc.) for distributors and retailers in order to drive fact-based selling.
    • Proactively dedicate time monthly to search for key data points to drive or contribute to Yuengling Sales and marketing strategies.
    • Assistance with ad-hoc requests from executive, sales, marketing, business planning and pricing

 

  1. Other Key Skills and Abilities:

 

    • Effectively communicate with all related departments and functions within the organization and key stakeholders internally and externally.
    • Develop an understanding of the brewing industry dynamics and what competitive benchmarks are necessary to keep the company financially strong, and of all business functions within The Yuengling Company
    • Ability to quickly collect and organize large volumes of data into meaningful excel reports.
    • Maintain and keep all information confidential.
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes and projects simultaneously.

 

  1. Qualifications:

 

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years of industry experience is required.
    • Proven track record of success performing data analysis, building, and maintaining business reporting systems in a challenging environment. Experience working for leading alcoholic beverage, CPG company, or syndicated data suppliers (IRI, or Nilsen) preferred.
    • Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to lead by example in a positive and motivating manner.
    • Position is a hybrid office & home-based position in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area and requires occasional travel (typically no more than 5% on an annual basis)
