Position Overview:

 

The Category Manager Commercial will have an operational/supply risk focus and will be responsible for managing commercial categories of intermediate to higher complexity within their country. This will include using strategic sourcing principles such as spend analysis, RFX, reverse auctions, contract management, negotiations and supplier management

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Managing commercial categories of intermediate to higher complexity. Leads all negotiations as related to these categories. Must understand country/ business priorities and needs. Ensure contract compliance once agreement is signed.

2. Managing local/regional suppliers, including scorecarding and actively monitoring KPI's. Responsible for delivering category RO's on the national level. Will be managing a large number of supplier relationships - 100 to 250.

3. Maintaining predefined and cascaded cost savings target on yearly level. Responsible for assessing and managing category risks and opportunities on a country level

4. Managing stakeholders within their country and respective categories. Must be able to act as a business partner with internal stakeholders aligning on company priorities and needs. Stakeholders can be at the CLT level.

5. Responsible for managing category AOP cycle including supporting local teams with their own budgets.

 

Skills and Relevant Work Experience:

 

Required:

 

  • Education - Undergraduate degree, preferred: Advanced degree or MB
  • 4-8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiation skills.
  • SAP experience.
  • Contract management, spend analysis, and e-sourcing tools experience.
  • Broad based experience in multinational category management and international teams.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills.

 

Preferred:

  • Industry certification (ISM, CIPS or other relevant organization); understanding of the beverage or FMCG industry
