The Headlines:

 

Operational Lead of the QA Laboratory to ensure Quality & Food Safety requirements are met within Franciscan Well Brewery. Deliver a ‘One Way’ process through adherence to the Global Craft Quality Management System. Taking Primary Responsibility for Analytical & Micro analysis whilst working with the Operational Teams, identifying areas for improvement, building capability and providing resource and support to implement sustainable solutions.

 

The Responsibilities:

 

  • To carry out Analytical & Microbiological Laboratory Analysis in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Where appropriate, work with others to develop and write SOPs in the instance of new or improved processes.
  • Support in delivering the Craft Quality Management System through focusing on the Key Fundamentals of the QMS, driving a culture of Quality Improvements within the UK/I Craft Breweries.
  • Work with others in the development of improved operations and practices through working teams, focus groups and/or improvement projects as appropriate.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in optimum condition by performing required maintenance and 5S tasks during the normal course of operations.
  • Validate off-line and on-line instrumentation though adherence to Calibration Schedules.
  • Work within all local Hygiene, Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation and best practice, including and not limited to HACCP, COSHH, BRC, FEMAS, Safety the Molson Coors Way and maintain Personal Legislative Training Compliance.
  • Maintain Hygiene and Safety Standards and improve Efficiency.
  • Work with colleagues to respond to adverse analytical and/or microbiological trends, helping to support process and production areas in required improvements.
  • Drive Improvements of Global Quality KPI’s to become Best in Class within MCBC Craft Breweries.
  • Ownership of Laboratory & Quality SOPs
  • Responsible for the purchasing and stocking of Laboratory consumables.

 

The Qualifications:

 

  • Further education or equivalent professional qualifications in a technical or manufacturing related subject
  • Brewing knowledge and experience in food safety.
  • Preferred: Qualifications in food safety General certificate in brewing.
  • Working experience of or qualifications in Quality management Systems.
