Your Purpose

 

As a qualified accountant, you know how important the detail is when making commercial decisions and informing commercial strategy. This is a role that gives you the opportunity to see the mechanics of the business and understand how it works the complex processes that sit within it.

 

As Finance Business Partner for Pricing in the On Trade, you will own the Deal Evaluation Models and ensure the continued evolution of our pricing models to ensure we have robust, holistic pricing and evaluation tools. You’ll be the go-to expert that can provide bespoke models for both direct and indirect deals.

 

Of course, you will need to have advanced Excel skills as you’ll need to be able to build Deal Evaluation Models to suit the requirement of the sales team. You’ll also be calling on your analytical mindset and using your commercial acumen to understand the impact of finance on the overall sales function in the on trade. We like to talk and great communication is the key to any success, so you’ll need to be comfortable talking to stakeholders and know how to translate complex ideas into easy to understand language.

 

Naturally, you’ll be working really closely with the IT team as well as the Pricing & Revenue team, and out Digital team to ensure we continue to improve our tools and have the confidence that they are fit for purpose.

 

The sales team will look to you for support and education on pricing as well as financial and cash targets. You’ll actively business partner the team with new deals and tenders, to ensure consistent execution throughout the function. Using your comprehensive pricing tools, you’ll be able to find the appropriate balance between optimising price and minimising risk.

 

You’ll also be involved in providing the business with insight into the investments made, through management information and post investment reviews.

 

We are keen to hear your creative ideas as to how to improve things and your opinion on the right thing to do. Challenging the normal procedures is a great way to discover better methods so be prepared to voice your ideas with the wider team.

 

 

About You

 

You love the detail and know that the best decisions are informed ones. You are highly capable on Excel and can comfortably create new models within it. If you have knowledge of macros that is a big benefit, as well as strong overall technical IT knowledge.

 

You have managed complex spreadsheets and know how to develop the pricing tools beyond Excel and automate processes.

 

You have recently qualified and find yourself looking for a commercial role in a business that promotes organic internal career progression.

 

You are motivated by adding value to a business and helping to save money and improve profitability.

 

With you background in FMCG, you understand the pace at which things can move. You have come understanding of the industry and have worked with Sales or Marketing previously.

 

You are comfortable having commercial conversations with colleagues at all levels
