Your Purpose

You will be responsible for the payment of an outstanding debt, ensuring prompt appropriate action is taken on overdue accounts whilst ensuring that customers can continue to trade within the WE credit policy whilst retaining & building the relationship.

Ensuring customer orders are released within deadlines within the scope of the WE credit policy and ensuring approvals/escalations are done in a timely manner.

Contribute to the reduction of DAR (Debt at Risk) and Overdue debt within agreed target levels whilst ensuring Legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities: 

•    Pro-active Credit Management, daily pro-active credit management of allocated portfolio of customers that have been identified with overdue debt, applying telephone and letter techniques
•    Processing Customer Payments, Taking and processing card payments and allocating cash receipts to invoices. Processing of customer refunds in line with empowerment levels. 
•    Sales Order Release, Dealing with order releases through SAP, within order release deadlines preventing the occurrence courier costs.
•    Credit Account Administration, Updating customer details such as name and address, Direct Debit details etc. 
•    Maintain customer/internal relationships, Dealing with all calls in a straightforward, professional and engaging way that reflects MCBC’s values and first choice for customer’s approach.

 
About you

Previous administration /credit controller role experience. Ideally, you will bring knowledge of Credit Control/Risk Management and adverse warning signs. Ability to interpret the information provided in a timely manner as well as the ability to adapt to a changing environment.

Ability to negotiate, influence, build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, operational teams, and other support functions.

Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and listening skills with the ability to quickly build rapport 

Knowledge of the Brewery Industry and Trade Credit markets (Desirable)

Good decision-making, relationship management, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills 

Tenacity, resilience, firm, assertive
