We’re looking to recruit a Category Manager for Western Europe - ( Cardboard & Corrugate ) based in Burton

 

Your Purpose

 

As a Category Manager for packaging will have an operational/supply risk focus and will be responsible for managing several categories of intermediate complexity within their country/region.

 

This will include using strategic sourcing principles such as spend analysis, RFx, reverse auctions, contract management, negotiations and supplier management.

 

  • Managing 3-7 local/regional categories of intermediate complexity. Leads all negotiations as related to these categories. Must understand country/region business priorities and needs. Ensure contract compliance once agreement is signed.
  • Managing local/regional suppliers, including scorecarding and actively monitoring KPI's. Responsible for delivering category RO's on the national level. Will be managing a large number of supplier relationships.
  • Maintaining a cost savings target aligned to AOP and LRP expectations. Responsible for assessing and managing category risks and opportunities on a country/cluster level
  • Managing stakeholders within their country/cluster and respective categories. Must be able to business partner with internal stakeholders aligning on company priorities and needs. Stakeholders can be at the RLT and SCLT level.
  • Responsible for managing category AOP cycle including supporting countries/clusters with their local budgets

 

About You

 

  • Experience in a procurement role.
  • Strong strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiation skills.
  • SAP experience.
  • Contract management, spend analysis, and e-sourcing tools experience.
  • Broad based experience in multinational category management and international teams. Strong project management skills.
  •  Effective written and verbal communications skills
