Global Consolidation Accounting and Reporting Sr Analyst

 

The Global Consolidation Accounting and Reporting Sr Analyst is a key member of the Global Close and Consolidation Accounting team based in Bucharest, Romania, with primary responsibilities related to Intercompany financing transactions and organization restructures accounting, Cost of Investment and Equity reconciliation and reporting, and Guarantor Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow), including flux analysis.

 

This role is the subject matter expert for all Intercompany financing transactions, including but not limited to Intercompany loans, Tax and Legal restructures and setup of new intercompany relationships, to ensure the books and records are aligned with the underlying tax and legal agreements. This role is directly responsible for the execution of month end close journal entries, analysis and reconciliation of intercompany transactions. Will also be responsible for group currency allocation for Cost of Investment and Equity transactions and non-controlling interest and Redeemable non-controlling interest consolidation journal entries and reporting.

 

Additionally, this role will be involved in preparation of the financial statements and statistical reports for different companies within the Group and will be the primary contact with external auditors related to Guarantor Financial Statements, Intercompany activity and audit of the financial statements. Will ensure SOX compliance within designated areas of responsibility and ensure all controls are observed and documented.

A few key things you’ll be responsible for:   

  • Record in SAP monthly Blackline Journal entries related to intercompany loans interest income / expense based on the loan matrix provided by Treasury.
  • Assist with the legal entity divestitures and with new legal entity creation: preparing and recording the journal entries supported by appropriate legal, tax and treasury documentation.
  • Follow up with BUs for the transactions related to Cost of Investment, Equity, Intercompany loans.
  • Support the preparation of Additional Financial Information (AFI) schedule (Cost of investment and Equity) local currency and group currency allocation for use in the monthly consolidation and cash flow.
  • Perform monthly Balance sheet reconciliation in Blackline for Intercompany loans, Intercompany AR / AP balances, Cost of Investment and Equity, Intercompany Dividends;
  • Prepare and record the consolidation journal entries related to non-controlling interest and facilitate the non-controlling interest monthly reporting.
  • Complete Guarantor consolidation procedures, including specific journal entries for Guarantor reporting and validate the results.
  • Prepare Guarantor Financial Statements, Flux analysis and Tie Out for presentation in the 10-Q and 10-K reports;
  • Prepare stand-alone financial statements and financial reports for various companies within the Group.
  • Liaise with external auditors to provide audit support documentation for responsible areas during quarterly reviews and annual audit
  • Ensure SOX compliance within designated areas of responsibility; Prepare and maintain the consolidation monthly support binder.
  • Participate in and support ad hoc projects related to consolidation system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.

The Global Consolidation Accounting and Reporting Sr Analyst reports to the Global Consolidation Accounting and Reporting Sr. Manager and will work closely with Treasury, Tax, Legal, Technical Accounting, and other Business Units to ensure adequate booking, reporting and disclosures within financial reports.     

If you have the following…we want to hear from you!

  • BS/BA in Accounting
  • CPA/ACCA or other similar certifications in progress is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting roles within international companies
  • Proven expertise with company financial systems used for internal and external financial reporting, including consolidation (SAP, BPC, Group reporting preferred)
  • Strong skills regarding financial statements preparation and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS accounting regulations and company accounting policies and internal controls 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and communicating processes
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, formulas, etc.
  • Strong ability to work independently and within cross functional team
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, ability to analyze financial statements, ability to exercise sound professional judgment, time management skills.

Total Rewards and Benefits Package

The salary range stated above reflects the compensation currently offered for this role at the time of posting.
