The Headlines: 

Molson Coors Beverage Company is looking for a highly motivated Technical Architect, working in Bucharest, Romania and part of North American IT Solution Delivery team, to provide architecture consulting support on a portfolio of solution developments and enhancements. The Technical Architect will also be responsible for developing IT strategies for development, deployment, delivery and support, ensuring consistency with enterprise initiatives and that the software solutions meet business needs.

Following software development practices & life cycle methodologies throughout product development, this role will participate in building product deliverables according to specifications and design.

The position is based in Bucharest, Romania, part of MC GBS Romania Development Center (RDC) and will report to the RDC Lead in Bucharest.

 

The Responsibilities [WHAT is to be delivered]:

  • Act as technical architect on key projects, providing architecture consulting support on a portfolio of solution enhancements that may be multi-skilled or platform specific.
  • Lead in the introduction and use of techniques, methodologies and tools to match business requirements, ensuring consistency across all user groups.
  • Maintain holistic understanding of systems and environments, serving as approval for functional and technical specifications which cross applications and/or solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of the enterprise architecture and the service and solution architecture through application of appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces along with recognizing potential areas of improvement.
  • Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration, ensuring correct application of relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
    • Act as technical domain subject matter expert or Tech Lead on projects, programs or products.
    • Perform general & people management activities for a team of architects, designers or other IT specialists, including goals setting, performance management, people development and career management.

 

The Qualifications [HOW we expect the employees to work]:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s science degree  , preferred in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics, IT or a related discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in information technology or related management experience
  • Strong background in architecting Microsoft cloud technologies such as Azure Cloud; Azure Active Directory; O365; Azure App Proxy.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell, Power Automate, and related cloud automation tooling. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system networking issues related to cloud deployments. 
  • Ability to reduce an organization cost through effective analysis and usage of cloud tooling, cloud cost optimization/management.
  • Practical knowledge of the organisation’s IT infrastructure and software development and maintenance methods, tools and techniques (eg. Waterfall, Agile, DevOps)
  • Sound knowledge of change management, configuration management, reliability and safety methods and the use of metrics
  • Skilled in project risk management and general knowledge of project management
  • Very good command of English language.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in technical and people management
  • Travel up to 15% of the time.
