The Senior Software Engineer (ServiceNow) is part of our global IT Operations team leading and participating in design, configuration/development, testing, implementation, and support of ServiceNow solutions. This lead role works with ITIL process owners, IT Operations teams, and IT and business stakeholders in creating solutions and extending ServiceNow functionality to increase the value in the MCBC investment. This lead role mentors junior developers and performs quality control checks/code reviews.


Given the fact that this role is part of a global team, the work schedule will be between 11:30 – 20:00


Your day-to-day will include:


  • Leading and participating in developing solutions, building roadmaps, software development and configuration, collaborating with ITIL process owners and IT management through the lifecycle including analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation.
  • Analyzing end states goals, software/system requirements and implications/impacts to determine solution options and feasibility of solution development within time and cost constraints.
  • Configuring/coding for security, encryption, error logging, debugging, scalability and performance to meet ServiceNow best practices and MCBC standards.
  • Assisting with deployment, provisioning, and support activities. Write and maintain technical documentation/runbooks to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
  • Troubleshooting and resolve ServiceNow issues. Provide support and request fulfillment. Key resource for ServiceNow upgrades, evaluating impacts, solutions, and regression testing.


Your skills and qualifications:


  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience as a ServiceNow developer
  • Key role in designing and delivering a program or project/ managing evaluation of software processes and proposes and improvement activities
  • Responsible for the support of a solution
  • Significant experience in Solution Development - including analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation: 5 years



  • Good understanding of ITIL Foundations
  • ServiceNow System Administration Certification and ServiceNow Advanced System Administration Certification
  • Experience with ServiceNow upgrades
