The Senior Solution Designer for Supply Chain & Enabling (SCE) domains will focus on specific applications and business processes and is working in Bucharest, Romania, as part of the North American IT Solution Delivery team.

The role is responsible to design and develop solutions, and is actively engaged in software development & configuration, taking a product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop solutions, and is actively engaged in software development & configuration, taking a product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation.
  • Collaborating with other IT professionals to implement solutions and interact with third parties.
  • Partners with internal business team and other stakeholders to gather requirements, to analyze them and to identify and build technical solutions and functional & technical specifications to develop and deploy new or changed functionalities, features and/or changes in the applications and systems landscape.
  • Actively engaged in services and solution analyzer, define, design and develop/build.
  • Perform development and configuration & customization, using various applications (like SAP, Infor AS, GE Proficy, Ariba, Blackline, etc) and programming languages (like Infor AS, GE Proficy, Ariba, Blackline, etc)
  • Partner with a programmer or a team of programmers, providing functional specifications, to develop new custom functionalities or to automate business processes. 
  • Perform system configurations, and develop and perform functional testing and integration testing, as necessary.
  • Works with developers & testers, designers, and end users, as needed.
  • Leads implementation work under technical direction of IT and project management and oversees build, development and testing of services and solutions, acting as a key design authority during the design process and defining the technical criteria for product selection, system configuration, and development.


 


SKILLS & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s science degree 
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience with designing, developing, testing, and integrating systems and solutions in Supply Chain and Enabling applications (like SAP, Infor AS, GE Proficy, Blackline, Ariba, Cronos, Ceridian, etc).
  • Requires strong business, application and module specific skills and experience in one or multiple processes, such as Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Sales & Distribution, Hire to Retire, Warehouse & Logistic Execution, Inventory & Asset Management, Manufacturing & Production Planning, Forecast to Schedule, Master Data, and others.
  • Combines strong functional and technical competences with good business and commercial awareness.
  • Basic knowledge of project management methodologies. • Able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes.
  • Ability to quickly pick up new business processes, software languages, technologies, and frameworks.
  • Ability to balance a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Very good command of English.
