Molson Coors Beverage Company is looking for a highly motivated Senior Scrum Master, working in Bucharest, Romania and part of the North American IT Solution Delivery team.  The person will lead self-organizing and self-managing teams in applying and optimizing Agile practices to improve team performance and effectiveness.  The Scrum Master will also help coach new teams as the organization starts to scale Agile.


The position is based in Bucharest, Romania, part of Molson Coors GBS Romania Development Center (RDC) and will report to a Program Manager, Project Delivery in the RDC in Bucharest.

The Responsibilities [WHAT is to be delivered]:
•Facilitate and organize all Scrum activities including daily Scrum meetings, sprint and release planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
•Guide and coach, the team on Scrum and Agile practices to improve overall velocity and achieve objectives.  Coordinate the resolution of impediments across organizational boundaries.
•Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example.  Assess agile maturity of the team; Coach project team to reach higher levels of maturity through continuous improvement.
•Build and maintain release burn downs, velocity projections and project forecasts for project visibility and to ensure timely decision-making.
•Work with Product Owner to document acceptance criteria, perform backlog grooming, and prioritize features/user stories.

 

The Qualifications [HOW we expect the employees to work]:

Required:
•Bachelor degree
•You are an experienced scrum master with 5+ years of experience using Scrum in your day-to-day work.  You need to have a SAFE@ certification/s to back this up.
•You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.  You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy
•You are confident and competent. You are a strong facilitator and have world-class analytical skills.
•You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from the team through respect and development management, configuration management, reliability and safety methods and the use of metrics
•Coaches the team on Agile/Scrum practices and ensures they are followed, assists the team in self-organization, removes impediments and guides the team to find solutions to impediments
•Holds team resources accountable for their deliverables, helps team with estimation and helps improve velocity, provides/presents dashboards and metrics to understand how the team is performing (burndown charts, velocity metrics etc.)
•Builds a safe trusting team environment, facilitates decision making and conflict resolution, pro-actively manages budget and dependencies, assists with internal communications and improves project transparency, and leads multiple dependent work streams e.g., run scrum of scrums
•Supports the Product Owner, on refining the product backlog, works with the Product Owner to plan and prepare backlog for Sprint Planning, understands Product Owner’s definition of success, develops long range Release plans to facilitate incremental delivery of value, pro-actively manages risks, builds consensus among multiple partners, able to influence without authority, and has good understanding of business problem to be solved
•Understand software delivery and project governance processes, contributes, and champions process improvements in Agile practices, coaches team members to higher levels of agile maturity
•Handles deliverables from multiple vendors and partners
•Leads resolution of complex issues
•Manage risks to minimize failure of the release
•Demonstrate Servant Leadership
•Ability to use different Agile techniques (Retrospective formats, Agile metrics, Defect tracking methods)
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Very good command of English language.


Preferred:
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field
•Certified SAFe@ Scrum Master/ Practitioner
•Certified Agile (e. g. Professional Scrum Master, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), AgilePM Foundation)
•Experience in application development and Agile tools (e.g. Jira/Atlassian suite)
•Experience in working with 3rd Party Service Providers (vendors)
•2nd shift work availability

•Travel up to 15% of the time.
