RPA Developer

The RPA Developer is responsible for coding the automation process components as per the low-level technical design document created by the technical leads/architects/lead developer. The developer will also validate the automation by performing appropriate unit testing and ensure configuration control is always maintained.
The RPA Developer may mentor new or junior developers and perform Quality Control checks on code components and specific code reviews.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Process: 
•    Work closely with Technical Lead/ Solution Engineers /Developers to understand the functional & technical design
•    Develops & configures automation solutions as per the PDD & SDD to meet the defined requirements
•    Works on coding the automations or reusable components
•    Develops new automation solutions/tasks/objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand
•    Complies with and helps to enforce design and coding standards, policies and procedures
•    Ensures documentation is well maintained
•    Ensures quality of coded components by performing thorough unit testing
•    Works collaboratively with test teams during the product unit test and UAT phases to fix assigned bugs 
•    Reports status, issues and risks to tech leads on a regular basis and participates in meetings & calls.
•    Improves skills in automation products by completing automation certification
•    May mentor new or junior developers and performs code reviews for quality control
•    Assist with administration, configuration and deployment of the RPA solution and environment, providing support in production (bug fixing, monitoring of automation solutions)
•    Manage small projects, pilots and proof of concepts, possibly including as technical leader.
 

Stakeholder Management:
•    This role will work with closely with own team and with other stakeholders (IT, business partners, process leads, business analysts, developers, engineers, etc.). 
•    Also, will partner and work closely with vendor/3rd party stakeholders.

 

Support Technology Implementation
•    Support to identify the proper technology solution to drive standardization and define the main requirements for the build out phase.
•    System implementation as per the business requirement.


Continuous Improvement:
•    Follow strategy for continuos improvement by participating in focus and priorities alignment.

 

 

SKILLS & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE 

•    Two (2) years’ experience in IT software/application development.
•    One (1) year experience with RPA development.
•    Understands software development methodology and lifecycle.
•    Trained on working with RPA tools (e.g. Blue Prism/Automation Anywhere) and Power Apps.
•    Knowledgeable with developing, deploying, customizing and integrating RPA/software solutions.
•    Good command of English language (speaking and writing).

•    Motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
