The job holder will provide legal and ethics & compliance support to the Leadership Team of MOLSON COORS GLOBAL BUSINESS SERVICES (GBS) and all the departments in GBS, deliver solution orientated, commercial and timely advice to key stakeholders to the GBS and/or Molson Coors teams. As part of regional legal and ethics & compliance teams – the role is contributing in regional projects. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Negotiates, drafts, and approves agreements as per internal GBS specific processes and needs 
  • Negotiates and drafts multi-jurisdictional procurement with suppliers, services agreements, any other type of agreements as per the need
  • Standardizes approach and/or documents in contracts (including inter-company contracts), employment-related matters, and other GBS specific matters requiring or benefiting of such standardization  
  • Ensures corporate housekeeping documents and processes are set-up and rolled out as per local requirements and group policies 
  • Supports (and where appropriate leading) GBS in its relationship with public authorities, providers and stakeholders by drafting answers, notifications and generally managing relationship as needed  
  • Supports (and where appropriate leading) employment law processes, including pre-disciplinary advice, investigations (including disciplinary investigations), and negotiation of individual and / or collective employment agreements
  • Supports (and where appropriate leading) the design and implementation of legal and ethics and compliance processes in GBS (including data protection, internal regulations, retention rules and any other local GBS policy) as per local requirements and group policies
  • Manages compliance obligations in relation to GBS clients and suppliers, according to the needs and internal processes of GBS (ABAC, data protection specific addenda, other compliance related checks)
  • Maintains a GBS center of excellence with respect to legal and ethics and compliance matters (by managing precedents, creating and maintaining templates, raising awareness across GBS etc.)
  • Works with the relevant MCBC stakeholders to ensure adequate policy, processes, tools and training are in place to comply with privacy regulations. Develops and implements risk mitigation strategies, controls and corrective action plans for resolution of issues. Handles inquiries and issues relating to data privacy practices, data subject access requests, withdrawal of consent, the right to be forgotten, and related rights

 

SKILLS & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Required

  • 3-4 years’ experience in legal areas
  • Commercial contracts experience
  • Compliance experience (development, maintenance and improvement of compliance initiatives, internal investigations and training on compliance related issues)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, advocacy skills, legal research skills and management skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, acquire and maintain business knowledge to contribute to strategy
  • Creative, problem-solver, team player, diplomatic and able to work within tight timelines

 

Preferred

  • Previous corporate experience 
  • Data privacy certification; Data privacy experience
  • Ability to travel on reasonable notice
  • C1 English level
