The role of the Junior Accounting Analyst is to provide financial & management accounting and transaction support to the MCBC business units. The Junior Accounting Analyst will play a supporting role in helping the finance team deliver accurate financial close and financial reporting. 

 

Key Responsabilities

Process Responsibilities 
• Provides accounting services for various groups (such as Commercial Finance or Supply Chain Finance) related to the financial close including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, & maintaining appropriate documentation
• Provides transactional support for the Fixed Assets and Inventory ledgers
• Summarize and report financial and non-financial data (qualitative)
• Ensures GL, balance sheet and P&L accuracy
• Answers accounting and financial questions by referring to the own postings 
• Analyses simple accounting reports
• Create and update the working procedures periodically 

 

Other Responsibilities
• Successfully graduating the training plan attached to the position and the tasks
• Train other team members regarding the daily tasks whenever necessary in order to support the good deployment of activities at team level
• Identify and implement improvement ideas for standardizing the process
• Complies with the Internal Regulation and the OHS (Occupational Health and Safety), the FSF (Fire Safety and Fighting) and Environmental Protection duties laid down under the law
• Responsible for keeping confidential the information, as per the internal policy, within the limits of the duties attached to their job
• Informs the line manager of any absence and non-compliance identified in their work
• Ensures process migrations are done on-time with good business and cross-functional collaboration and adhering to the agreed migration methodology
• Acknowledges and respects the quantitative and qualitative KPIs established for all processes – with targets and SLAs
• SOX/audit controls achieved in a timely and accurate manner
• Contributes and takes ownership of his Personal Development Plan.

 

Skills & Relevant Work Experience

• 1-2 years previous experience in finance field 
• Strong numerical skills
• Medium Excel skills
• Good English knowledge, both written and spoken
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong business relationships

• Ability to travel as needed for work shadowing and to support business issue
• Solid understanding and respect of policies and controls
