Accountable for ensuring a secure IT environment Molson Coors. This is a key IT security management role responsible for defining enforcing and maintaining the IT Security standards, processes & procedures that ensure company data and information assets are protected.


Protection of company data and information assets encompasses the complete IT environment, i.e. hardware, software, data and other IT/business assets. The Manager IT Security role is the process, standards and procedures subject matter expert in on how to secure that environment and ensure it can be recovered in the event of a disaster or other critical incident. 


This role will oversee the execution by IT Security, IT Service Operations personnel and 3rd parties of the appropriate security standards and processes, working closely with the IT Service Operations management team providing direction, advice and guidance to ensure that events, incidents and issues are managed, communicated and resolved in line with business expectations.




  • Ensures execution of corporate information security standards, processes and guidelines - Collaborates on the definition of information security policy, standards & guidelines appropriate to business, technology & legal requirements & in accordance with best professional & industry practice. Ensures IT Security processes tools and services that support and/or improve the company's security posture and maturity level are managed and executed effectively.
  • Build leaders and ensure succession management in designated team, design & implement people strategy.
  • Adhere to MCBC HR practices in terms of people retention, performance assessment, motivation and talent development
  • Perform Individual Performance reviews with the team members
  • Develop action plans, coaching and mentoring team members, developing talent, organizing career path meetings with team members
  • Owning and facilitating team meetings for better process performance and enhancement of team skills
  • Facilitating issues resolution not only within team, but also inter-team and cross functional
  • Owns 100% accurate and timely inputs for the team they supervise for salary, leaves and incentives and other HR processes like employee health and safety regulations, etc.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of KPIs for agrees deliverables and of current & expected performance output.
  • Enforces corporate information security standards - Proactively protects the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information in the custody of, or processed by, the company, providing reports to superiors regarding the effectiveness of network and data security and making recommendations for the adoption of new procedures and technologies as required.
  • Resolution of Security incidents and investigations - Takes leading role in communication & decision making, providing advice and guidance and supporting the effective resolution of security incidents for their area of responsibilty (business unit/region) by Service Operations, takes ownership of security control reviews following significant breaches of security
  • Pro-active management of IT security threats and vulnerabilities - conducts business risk assessments & manages assessment of threats to confidentiality,integrity, availability, accountability & relevant compliance. Maintains working relationships with industry peers and 3rd party service providers to best understand the current threat landscape.
  • Develops and maintains corporate disaster recovery and business continuity processes, plans and guidelines - Collaborates on the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans appropriate to business, technology & legal requirements & in accordance with good industry practice. Defines IT Security requirements for backup and recovery services that support and/or improve the company's security posture and maturity level. Ensures execution of recovery processes as required.



  • 6-8 years working experience in information technology including 1-2 yrs people management experience
  • Good multi-platform knowledge. Experience in UNIX, Windows, Linux, and IP intranet/Internet security environments including: firewalls, intrusion detection, incident response, policy writing, vulnerability testing, operating system hardening, regulatory compliance, and data classification.
  • 8-10 years working experience in information technology including 3-5 yrs people management experience
  • As required plus experience defining and implementing security solutions, policies, and technologies relating to Identity Management, Information Protection etc., with experience in Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery implementations and executions
