The IT Business Analyst is primarily responsible and takes ownership for evaluating processes and systems and may contribute to process design aspects in the development and implementation phases of software solutions.

Following company methodologies and industry best practices, this role will be accountable for the high-level assessment of software solutions, analysis of business process and identification of processes that are suitable for improvements, automations and/or developments. The role will act as a proxy between the business and technical team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct High Level Assessments of IT, Digital, Technology and Business Processes
  • Analyse and observe processes to understand the process steps and applications used to complete business transactions by a user
  • Provide process consultancy to stakeholders, making appropriate recommendations. Identify processes that are feasible for improvement and/or redesign and making appropriate recommendations; automation and/or development.
  • Define complexity of the process in terms of Solution Delivery
  • Create user stories and acceptance criteria for enhancements that lead to development work/process automation
  • Lead and may contribute to the design of the process’s automation and/or reengineer and document findings, solutions, and key technical and business decisions in the appropriate documents. These documents include Process Definition Document (PDD), and Solution Design Document (SDD), RunBook (application operating manual), and/or Detailed Business Requirements Document
  • Maintenance of the documentation for the implemented solutions
  • Partner with the team and relevant internal stakeholders (IT, business partners, process leads, developers, business analysts, architects etc).
  • Participate in defining the strategy for continuous improvement and in deciding on focus and priorities alignment


SKILLS & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • 3+ years experience in business analyses, process improvement and/or business/process consulting and 3+ years experience in IT software development
  • Strong problem solving, analysis, and design skills.
  • Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile delivery models
  • Proficient with gap analysis, business processes and translation of business requirements into process definition and solution design
  • Excellent effective communication skills, both orally and writing. Good command of English language (speaking and writing)


Preferred:

  • General knowledge of ITIL v4
  • JIRA
  • Experience in working with 3rd Party Service Providers (vendors)
