The Headlines:
Six Pints Collective is currently seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Granville Island Brewing located in Vancouver, BC. The taproom showcases our beer selection by offering a finely tuned menu tailored to complement our year-round, seasonal, and small batch brews. Reporting to the Head Chef, the Kitchen Supervisor plays a key leadership role in our culinary team, ensuring that the food we serve consistently meets or exceeds our standards of excellence.
The Responsibilities:

Lead by example during service hours, ensuring food quality, service standards, and health & safety protocols (consistently upheld for both customers and employees).

Continuously improve food preparation, presentation, and kitchen efficiency while maintaining cleanliness and proper organization of work areas and equipment.

Assist in menu development, including promotional and event menus.

Manage inventory using systems like Marketman and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently.

Write and distribute staff schedules, troubleshoot operational inconsistencies, and identify opportunities to improve kitchen processes.

Uphold kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards; ensure timely completion of financial, personnel, and payroll tasks in accordance with company guidelines.

Collaborate with the Head Chef on HR responsibilities, including hiring, training, coaching, conflict resolution, and conducting performance reviews.

Stand and walk throughout the shift, with frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and the ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and ramps as needed.

High school diploma/GED is required.

Ability to work 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs.

Kitchen Supervisor and/or kitchen management experience is required.

Food Safe certification is required.

Ability to stand for extended periods and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating effectively in a team.

Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to consider all variables when making decisions.

Red Seal certification or similar industry experience – Asset.
