The Headlines


In the role of Key Account Representative based out of Western Canada, you will be part of the Canadian Commercial Team. The person will be responsible for the development and execution of a strategy for key Western based national customers. The Key Account Representative will be measured on their ability to deliver short term and long term sustainable profit and volume growth for Molson Coors while delivering against the specific needs of their customer.

This position reports to Geordy Young, Sr. Key Account Manager and will be based out of western Canada, preferably Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton. The role works closely with the members of the Commercial team, leadership teams and has cross-functional touchpoints in many parts of the business. They also communicate and coordinate with field sales (and other departments) daily on where appropriate to execute customer/brand plans.


The Responsibilities:

  • Deliver channel volume, share and profit targets
  • Develop customer strategy and ensure delivery against the strategy
  • Lead cross functional virtual business team for the customer
  • Develop in conjunction with channel marketing specific customer/channel/brand plans
  • Organize and execute specific events within customer group
  • Develop “key influencers” network
  • Assist Sr. National Account Manager on co-ordination duties for selected National Accounts (including but not limited to):
    • Boston Pizza
    • The Canadian Brewhouse
    • Northland’s (Moxies, Shark Club, Chop)
    • Great Canadian Gaming
  • Manage and execute assigned customer budgets
  • Communicate/coordinate with Field Sales and Market Manager (and other departments) where appropriate to execute customer/brand plans
  • Maintain/develop strong customer relationships and maintain customer matched contact list
  • Adhere to all regulatory policies
  • Serve as the “voice of the customer” within Molson Coors

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant field;
  • You have 3-5 years of sales/marketing experience in a packaged goods or beverage alcohol industry, with 1-2 years’ experience in handling key/national accounts.
  • As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a criminal background check (if locally applicable).
  • Previous working relationship with multiple Boston Pizza groups (Northern Alberta) and or The Canadian Brewhouse would be an asset.
