Brand Marketing Manager, Granville Island Brewing

 

Molson Coors Canada is currently seeking a Brand Marketing Manager to be based in Vancouver, BC at our Granville Island Brewing location, to support our Six Pints business and join our Canadian marketing organization. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager & Innovation, Six Pints, this role will be primarily accountable for leading the development and execution of brand plans for Granville Island Brewing.  The successful candidate will have ownership over marketing initiatives and will be instrumental in building on the iconic 40+ year legacy of Granville Island Brewing enabling the business to deliver against our short and long-term objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL BE BREWING

  1. Long Range Plan Development: Responsible for supporting the development of a rolling three-year business plan as part of the Granville Island and Six Pints Specialty Beer Co ongoing long-range plan. This includes regular business reviews and assessment of market performance, category/competitive dynamics, consumer metrics, consumer trends, as well as an assessment of the brands SWOT to determine the key levers to be applied to maximize the brands performance over the long term.

 

  1. Brand Positioning & Campaign Development: The on-going stewardship of a compelling portfolio architecture and brand positioning based on consumer insight and fact-based analysis; including supporting the development of a three-year roadmap with measurable milestones that support the brands growth.  Work with our local agency to develop marketing campaigns & experiential activations that further develop the brands positioning and get Granville Island into more hands.

 

  1. Visual Identity: Supporting the development and stewardship of the brands visual identity. This includes translating the strategy into a core visual language and three year roadmap for core visual elements including: packaging, branded environments, glassware, wearables and overall visual standards.

 

  1. Innovation: Working in collaboration with the Brewmaster and our innovation team; participate in the development of the brands innovation strategy. This includes collaborating on concept development, strategy & positioning, visual identity, and core communication strategy in order to prepare innovations for launch.

 

  1. Go to Market Strategies: The development of core go to market strategies including defining the core beer strategy, communications strategy, partnership activation, core activation pillars, digital strategy and revenue management strategy. Partnership activation includes collaboration with notable tier 1 sports properties and an incredible roster of local partners.

 

  1. On site Leadership: Serve as a day-to-day visible leader at the Granville site, exuding passion for the brand and the culture in a way that inspires and empowers others to do the same.

 

  1. People Management: A dedicated people leader to 1 marketing individuals (Assistant Brand Manager), providing on-going coaching, development support and setting a team vision.

 

KEY INGREDIENTS:

  • University degree required - preferably with marketing focus.
  • Minimum 5 years brand marketing experience.
  • Experience in alcohol/beverage or packaged good preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years people management experience preferred.
  • Additional agency and/or sales experience considered an asset.
  • Strong strategic and brand stewardship experience required with experience in developing long range plans including brand positioning, visual identity, innovation strategy and other core marketing strategies.
  • Ability to lead the development of brand/portfolio strategy and turn it into tangible results.
  • Energetic leadership and strong influencing abilities.
  • Driven to make informed decisions and excellent problem solving and insight mining skills.
  • Strong business fundamentals and communication skills.
  • A self-starter able to manage multiple projects through various stages of development.

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.


Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $94,800.00 - $124,400.00 (posting salary range) + 13% target short term incentive + $11,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).


The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
