The Headlines:                                                                                                                                                                                                             

In the role of Warehouse Line Lead working in Toronto, Ontario you will be part of the Warehouse Team. The Line Leader has accountable for results, and organizational health of their area of responsibility. As the Line Lead, you will be responsible for managing and improving results necessary to achieve the Compelling Business Need (CBN) and Site Master Plan through rigorous application of Continuous Improvement tools. Most of the individual’s time will be spent on the floor working with the teams and building the capability of the people in their area, removing roadblocks to best support the team.

  

This position reports to the Area Manager, direct reports include Warehouse Trio members and Team Leaders. This position will work closely with the Line trio members from other departments, Team Leaders & operators to support business needs.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Develops team members to lead, manage and make sound decisions in all performance aspects of day-to-day operations.  
  • Successfully lead production operation in all aspects – safety, quality, cost, production, and morale.  
  • Successfully manage a diverse workforce of salary and hourly individuals, providing coaching, feedback, accountability, and direction.
  • Develop and lead execution of the 90-day plan to address losses and build capability.
  • Lead team to deliver departmental KPIs the right way by driving World Class Supply Chain principles and driver performance improvements in (Load compliance?), On Time In Full, defect handling and clean workstations.
  • Develop and maintain a staffing plan for the department to ensure all business needs are met while adhering to budget.
  • Coordinate change management across department, creating a culture of engagement and flexibility.
  • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional groups on additional projects to drive the long-term warehousing strategy.
  • Conduct inhouse warehouse inspections, including periodic cycle counts, to ensure inventory control practices and proper date code rotation are followed.
  • Analyze inventory levels in the brewery warehouse by SKU to identify opportunities to minimize Finished Goods Loss (FGL). 
  • Provide feedback to Supply Planning team to assist in adjusting production schedules and move inventory between warehouses to help ensure proper SKU by SKU inventory levels in warehouses.
  • Be an integral support to the business for managing, monitoring, and driving down full goods obsolescence while delivering world class OTIF.
  • Drives talent planning and performance management practices through one-on-ones, team performance discussions and development of the team and goals

 

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • Business acumen and basic strategic thinking to anticipate and respond to future needs of the organization.
  • Possesses basic machinery/system technical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.  Understands planning and scheduling techniques associated with asset care management.
  • Exhibits the flexibility needed to respond to frequent changes in production requirements and/or systems and equipment failures.
  • Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment 
  • Demonstrable evidence of driving World Class Supply Initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives  
  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships
  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in distribution related processes in a supervisory role 
  • You exhibit knowledge of process optimization & improvement 
  • You can work off shifts as needed and as part of a weekend & weekday rotation 
  • Understands and can apply the principles and practices of Molson Coors World Class Supply Chain.
  • Understanding of the budgeting process and basic financial metrics used within Molson Coors.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated capability of SAP.
  • Inventory management knowledge and application of enterprise inventory control principles and practices
  • You have skills in the areas of analytics, leadership/collaboration, organizational, communication, and planning with the right level of details. Detailed knowledge of supply chain/logistics systems and processes
