In the role of Vice President Canada Sales Finance working in Toronto, Ontario you will be part of the Canadian leadership team. The person in this role will provide strong leadership across diverse teams to drive profitable and sustainable business performance improvement. This VP Finance will contribute to the overall strategic direction, vision and future of the organization. You will be a critical partner to the business providing dependable strategic leadership, a consistent financial perspective, and active contribution to critical management decisions.
This position reports to the Vice President of FP&A and Commercial Finance and is a member of the Canadian leadership team with responsibility for the development and execution of overall financial strategies and leading the company’s financial activities including accounting and managerial controls, cash management, risk management and audit.
What You’ll Be Brewing:
- Most importantly, you will lead a team of X talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations .
- Participate in strategic planning and forecasting, partnering with the President and department heads.
- Ensures the development and implementation of an Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan that supports strategic objectives.
- As a business partner to the President and the senior management team, assesses business performance against both the annual budget and Molson Coors long term strategy. Provides critical financial and operational decision-support information and makes actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
- Acts as the primary liaison in all aspects of Finance activities to ensure appropriate integration of financial policies and procedures, performance planning/forecasting and reporting, and effective managerial controls.
- Ensures the accuracy, completeness, integrity and appropriate disclosure of financial statements and other financial information through appropriate policies and procedures.
- Establishes and maintains internal control over financial reporting to ensure compliance with accepted accounting principles and all regulatory requirements.
- Manages cash flow and forecasting through a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Stewards and recommends annual capital plans focusing on maximum return on assets to support growth opportunities.
- Act as Chair/member of board of Beer Industry organizations that drive the entire Canada beer industry
- Builds and manages relationships with other Beverage Company partners and Suppliers
- Negotiates and partners with strategy to negotiate partner supply agreements
- Attracts, engages, develops and rewards talented people to build individual and organizational capability. Provides leadership within the function and the organization through coaching, mentoring and ensuring the talent processes are effectively utilized.
Key Ingredients:

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field; MBA, CA, CPA, or CFA is required
- You have at least 10 years experience in a multi-national financial environment
