The Headlines


In the role of Senior Manager, Packaging Industrial Support (Optimization Engineering) working in Toronto, ON or Montreal, QC you will be part of the Industrial Services and Support team.  You will be responsible for driving the packaging performance and continuous improvement across the Canadian plants by providing technical thought leadership and performance optimization support related to the way packaging activities are executed across Canada.


This position reports to the Senior Director, Industrial Services and Support and works closely with Packaging Operational leaders, their operations teams and many teams throughout the Supply Chain.


The Responsibilities:


  • Technical leadership for packaging and technology as part of the Industrial Support Packaging team on a national level.
  • Research new techniques, equipment and technologies for improving machine performance and operations
  • Identify, assess, prioritize and recommend to the senior management packaging optimization and savings opportunity projects including both capital improvement projects as well as operational and maintenance optimization;
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure packaging performance and apply accountability.
  • Provide technical engineering support at dedicated plant level for packaging activities inclusive of leading and overseeing material trials;
  • Set-up  directions and help plants in terms of packaging costs achievement;
  • Ensure the packaging activities to be done and to be followed in terms of metrics and costs;


The Other Qualifications:


  • You possess a proven track record of achievement in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment
  • You have demonstrable evidence of driving World Class Supply Initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives
  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
  • You exhibit our core values and demonstrate our Molson Coors Success Factors
  • You have a degree in Engineering in a related engineering discipline
  • You have at least 5 years’ experience working in a packaging engineer or packaging operations management or equivalent position within brewing industry or in a consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment
