In the role of Shopper Marketing Manager, working in Toronto, you will be part of the Canadian Brand Marketing team. We are on a mission to build brands that more people want to hang out with – that means embedding our brands into culture and having the bravery to do breakthrough work, that matters, and that people will care about.

That’s what this role will be all about. It is primarily accountable for building and executing the Retail and On Premise components of our Brand Plans, bringing to life our consumer-led campaigns in creative and innovative ways for Consumers, delivering work you can be proud of and results that will make a difference.

 

This position reports to a Marketing Director, is within the Brand Marketing department and works closely with the broader Marketing and Commercial teams, here in Canada and in the US.

 

What will you do?  

Accelerate Molson Coors Canada’s ambitions to become First Choice for Consumers and Customers by providing the strategic leadership, direction, inspiration and management for some of Molson Coors Canada’s Iconic Brands. 

  • Retail & On Premise Strategy:  Develop the Retail and On Premise strategy for a number of priority brands in our portfolio. Work alongside Commercial partners, internally and externally, across our North American business, to identify the biggest opportunities for growth and help shape the brand plan to deliver against these.
  • Development of Breakthrough Ideas: Work with your colleagues in the brand team and external agency partners to develop innovation and breakthrough ideas, born from Shopper Marketing insights, that can create disruption in the Retail and On Premise environments.
  • Toolkit Development for Commercialization: Work alongside the Customer Solutions Teams to build a national Retail and On Premise plan for our brand campaigns that understands and caters to the differing needs of our Retailers and Bar owners, providing a menu of ways the ideas can be utilized, including budget guidance. Lead the development of Shopper Marketing Toolkits to deploy to the Customer Solutions Teams, 8-12 months in advance of campaign live dates, for customization and execution in market. Toolkit includes idea definition, key artwork, display renders, look of success by channel, tactical executional options to drive display and velocity.
  • Partner Relationships: Build strong relationships with key partners in the NA Commercial teams, across the Canadian Commercial teams and with external agency partners. Work collaboratively to inspire the delivery of integrated, breakthrough work that is strategically connected and delivers against the needs of the Brand and the Retail/On Premise environment.

  • You have at least 5 years' experience in Shopper Marketing and are an expert in those fundamentals.
  • Experience of operating effectively with a complex, multi-functional structure of stakeholders and processes.
  • Sound business understanding, including fluent understanding of Retailer margins.
  • As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a criminal background check.
