The Headlines:
As a Sales Intern you will be part of our Early Talent Program. Our Early Talent Program is Molson Coors’ undergraduate summer internship program, where students are exposed to the beverage industry, engaged in real-world problem-solving, and immersed in social and educational opportunities with other interns. The internship is a full-time summer position from May 5 - August 8 (Canada interns) and May 28 - August 8 (U.S. interns).
Housing assistance is available to candidates who meet eligibility requirements. Applicants must be an undergraduate student (enrolled in undergraduate courses), during the summer internship, to participate in the Early Talent Program. Interns who successfully complete the Early Talent Program are considered for full-time positions within Molson Coors Beverage Company, upon graduation.
The Responsibilities:
- Through a First Choice lens, build and support relationships with key customers, business partners, industry associations, government and suppliers
- Negotiate agreements with Retail customers to ensure profitability and success when assisting in the implementation of their strategic initiatives
- Achieve and exceed targeted sales plans on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
- Ensure brilliant execution by building rapport and supporting product standards
- Plan and administer budgets, develop business case proposals and execution
- Participate in sales meetings with your team
- Analyze valuable data by tracking volume, distribution performance and the competitive landscape to develop strategies that will help us meet any challenge
- Support execution of events and sponsorships
The Other Qualifications:
- You are a third or fourth year pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or relevant fields
- You have an innate ability to build empathy with consumers, in particular millennials and diverse consumers.
- You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome
- You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments
- You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow
- You have the ability and willingness to work a flexible work schedule if needed, including some evenings and weekends and light travel
- You have a valid driver’s license with no limitations/restrictions. You will be required to provide a recent copy of a Driver’s Abstract
- You are self-motivated with a magnetic personality; you project a positive, team-first and professional corporate image, and demonstrate strong problem solving, organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- You have past work experience in sales, promotions, marketing and/or customer service fields
- Solid Microsoft Proficiency – PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, Calendar Management
- Social Media comprehension
- You have (or can get) your Smart Serve Certificate (or provincial equivalent)
- You are a resident of (or familiar with) assigned territory
