The Headlines:

The Retail Store Sales Associate is responsible to work with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about Molson products, recommend solutions, promptly resolve customer concerns and ensure customer satisfaction. To be successful in this role, a Retail Store Sales Associate must maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and merchandise and maintain the store’s visual to high standards.

 

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer service including greeting customers upon entry, waiting on customers, including but not limited to responding to their request, answering questions and recommending options, selling products to customers, assisting customers with loading of product in vehicles.
  • Checks proper customer identification to sell beer.
  • Completes sales transactions through POS terminal, receive cash/credit/debit payments terms, gives change/receipt to customers and processes returns.
  • Stocks, arranges and rotates beer on shelves. Stocks beer coolers and sets up displays. Stocking shelves involves carrying large quantities of beer and involves accessing products in the back-room stage area.
  • Performs general cleaning and maintenance in the store, including but not limited to dusting shelves, display, etc., vacuuming and sweeping floors.
  • Off loads beer from trailers using forklift and electric walkie and loads in walk in storage locations.
  • Loss prevention responsibilities which include, watching for and recognizing security risks and thefts, and knowing how to prevent or handle these situations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

The Other Qualifications:

 

  • Must be minimum 19 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months previous retail sales and customer service experience.
  • Basic knowledge of retail sales along with previous cash handling experience with credit/debit and cash.
  • Smart Serve and electric forklift certified.
  • Completes self-learning modules with regards to product knowledge and demonstrates the ability to promote and market products, answer customer questions regarding products.
  • Ability to work store hours including days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays as required.
  • Ability and desire to greet customers/deal with the public on a regular basis, be friendly, professional, polite and helpful when dealing with customers and employees.
  • Understands basic visual merchandising to create attractive displays and special promotions.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate POS systems.
  • Understands importance of product inventory control and product rotation.
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis during a work shift.
  • Willingness to continue learning and remain up to date on the latest new product offerings.
  • Willingness to work in a refrigerated environment and in inclement weather conditions when assisting customers with carry out.
