The Headlines:   

 

We are currently looking for a Manager Data Governance and Business Reporting. Under the Americas Commercial Accelerator Team, this Manager will be the quarterback of our Canadian Data Governance, the Guardian of Data Methodologies (Industry, Market Shares, Segmentations) and Enforcer of our Canadian Data and Reporting policies. You will be responsible to define our Data Acquisition strategy (multiple external sources of data) and managing external data providers budget/actual. You will define our Business Reports Framework and vision to enable new reporting capabilities that drives incremental actionable insights. As the organization looks to standardize reporting and capabilities across the business, you will review and delineate data quality work from reporting & analytics work.

Your ability to understand the business needs, ideate a working solution and convert it into a solution and/or process change, will be crucial in the Team’s success.

You will lead a team of 2 focused on Data Quality and Business Reporting and will be working with the Canadian Leadership Team.

This is a tremendous learning opportunity, a chance to build trustable & actionable reports, to establish clear accountability, to evolve our data & reporting strategy with our new beverage categories and get visibility throughout our Molson Coors Canadian Commercial Function.

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Quarterbacking all Canadian Data Governance (and align with Americas Commercial on shared KPIs) to establish Data Management Accountability, Policies and Procedures.
  • Developing key relationships within the Commercial Leadership Team to ensure critical business needs are supported
  • Development, reporting and implementation of business KPIs that are aligned with our Americas Commercial strategy, as well as local initiatives
  • Being the Guardian of Reporting Methodologies (Industry, Market Shares Calculation, Various types of Commercial Segmentations) and the enforcer of Canadian Data and Reporting Standards.
  • Delineating Analytics / Business Reporting from Data Governance & Data Quality, strategically aligning with our Americas Commercial ambitions.
  • Setting and communicating the overall Product Vision, Roadmaps and Resources in a unified manner to secure alignment and approvals.
  • Owning the Business Reports Framework (Standard vs Ad-hoc, which Reporting Tools to use from our IT standardized tool), partnering with IT to Enable new reporting capabilities driving incremental actionable insights.
  • Supporting commercial capabilities that allow users to develop more informed analytics
  • Data Vendor management (incl. budget/forecast), driving our Canadian Data Acquisition Strategy and recommending to MCCLT any internal/external KPI evolution (Market Shares, Distribution, Sales-to-Market, Segmentations, Commercial Master Data).
  • Thought leadership to navigate the constraints and opportunities with the company’s IT platform to optimize its value for the Commercial team.

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • University Degree with focus on IT, Data Science, Data Engineering or Analytics
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience, a plus if within the IT, Data Science, Data Governance.
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified way to various audiences including the ability to effectively communicate to senior leadership.
  • Able to apply logic and problem solving to complex business problems.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive efficiencies and improvements within an organization.
  • Experienced in Leading and Developing People.
  • Strong background in reporting automation through BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, WEBI, Databricks or any similar data & reporting tools
  • Experience with statistical software packages such as R, Python, SQL and/or SAS also a plus
