The Headlines

 

In the role of Creative Copy Writer, English you will be part of the Molson Coors Beverage Company’s Americas’ Commercial/Marketing Team. Creative Copy Writer, English is a skilled and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency in artwork materials as a proofreader, as well as crafting engaging and compelling copy for marketing communications, content creation, and social media.

The Creative Copy Writer, English reports into the Studio Lead, Creative. Working collaboratively with the rest of the studio team, the Creative Copy Writer, English ensures that the established expectations are met on each project. Additionally, this role involves close collaboration with marketing and commercial stakeholders to maintain brand consistency and contribute to the overall success of our brand's messaging and communication efforts.

The Responsibilities:

Accelerate Molson Coors Beverage Company’s commercial content and production capability to become First Choice for Consumers and Customers, providing the strategic leadership, direction, and management for one of Molson Coors’ key regions.

  • Review artwork materials, including packaging, marketing production materials, and digital content to ensure accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Verify the correct use of trademarks, disclaimers, and legal statements in all artwork materials.
  • Collaborate closely with the designer team, ensuring that text and visuals are aligned and effectively communicate the desired message.
  • Identify and correct errors in spelling, grammar, syntax, and formatting.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the clarity, consistency, and overall quality of artwork materials.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance in all proofreading tasks.
  • Develop creative and compelling copy for various marketing communication channels, including advertisements, brochures, website content, emails, and social media posts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as marketing managers, sales teams, and designers, to understand project objectives, target audience, and brand messaging.
  • Conduct thorough research to gain a deep understanding of the target audience, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Write engaging and persuasive copy that effectively communicates key messages and resonates with the target audience.
  • Ensure all copy is grammatically correct, adheres to brand voice and style guidelines, and is consistent across different channels.
  • Collaborate with the design team to integrate copy seamlessly with visual elements, creating a cohesive and impactful product.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of copy in various channels, making data-driven adjustments and improvements as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a proof-reader, preferably in the artwork or graphic design industry.
  • Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to proofreading.
  • Demonstrated copywriting skills with a portfolio showcasing diverse writing styles and ability to adapt to different tones and target audiences.
  • Familiarity with marketing principles and best practices for different communication channels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in digital content creation, including social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience in optimizing copy for search engines is a plus.
