The Headlines:

 

As our Procurement Category Manager of Facilities and Brewing Supplies, reporting into the Category Director - Supply Chain, working out of our Toronto office, you will be  accountable for the execution of Procurement operational activities, including supply management for the Facilities, Maintenance, and Brewing Supplies Categories.  You will drive department cost savings goals through reduction of end to end total cost of ownership and delivery of total procurement financial value to the business.  You will lead supplier relationship management with key suppliers.  You will work collaboratively with global sourcing teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies and work proactively with cross functional teams to lead the procurement workstream in projects related to Facilities and Maintenance, and supporting our Breweries in new product development, brand launches, and promotional activities.

 

The Responsibilities:

 

  • Supply Management, including assurance, risk management, and contract compliance
  • Execute category strategies and build strong partnerships with stakeholders and cross functional teams 
  • Achieve annual cost savings targets of $1-2M and consistently delivering total procurement financial value back to the business
  • Responsible for managing category Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including purchase price variances (PPV) and working with finance on reporting cadence
  • Supplier relationship management, including score carding and actively monitoring KPI's.  
  • Work collaboratively with global sourcing teams to support development of sourcing strategies, building in-depth knowledge on market dynamics, including competitive intelligence 
  • Lead the procurement workstream in projects related to Facilities and Maintenance, and supporting our Breweries in new product development, brand launches, and promotional activities
  • Managing Brewery and Corporate stakeholders, including effectively partnering with senior level leaders to align on company priorities and needs
  • Maintains continuous in-depth knowledge of industry and market dynamics, and developing technologies

 

The Other Qualifications!

 

  • Min 5-7 years of relevant work experience. BA/BS or appropriate university degree required
  • Excellent strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiations.
  • Broad based experience in multinational consumer goods companies 
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Supply Chain Management Designation preferred (ISM, SCMA, or other relevant organization)
  • Capable of managing and influencing in an indirect/project type manner. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple workstreams 
  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing and/or beverage industry is desirable
  • Negotiation skills
  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills, including presenting complex information to varied audiences
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
